The front desk woman, argued about the garbage, when I mentioned we could smell Marijuana from our car, she told me I "don't know where it's coming from."I said it's her job to find out, since there are signs, and policies prohibited. She refused to offer any refund . This place is horrible, DO NOT book a room here.

The hotel rooms look NOTHING like the photos, it’s very much a budget hotel with lots of people living in the rooms. Non smoking signs posted all over with residents smoking cigarettes right next to them, multiple pit bulls, one off a leash approached me and my children. On short notice my wife and I needed a room over a weekend in Newport. There were very few affordable options. The Newport Inn was close to where we needed to be, and we just needed a comfortable bed for the night. How bad could it be? The answer is pretty bad. I would not recommend anyone to stay here. There was an odd odor in the room that I couldn't place, but I didn't feel safe to leave the window open during the night. The bed was uncomfortable. The room and bathroom was not cleaned properly. The stairwells had half eaten food and cigarette butts in them. The experience was so bad we left after the first night and drove home the next day.

Property was dirty and not well kept. Bed was minus top sheet. Front desk clerk was helpful and gave me a top sheet. Towels were stained. No A/C, overhead fan only worked with lights on. Noisy people next to our room until after midnight. Won’t stay here again.

Walked into the room and felt like i was in a cave, poor lighting only one dim overhead light, no bedside lamps. There were closet cutouts but no rod to hang anything on, just an empty nook so I had to put my things on the floor. The walls needed painting multiple scuffs on the walls. The bathroom door had a hole where the doorstop punctured through it at some point and had not been fixed. There was no air conditioning a box fan was provided that was the dirtiest thing I have ever seen. When I turned it on dirt threads flew off it some threads clung on and flapped in the wind. There was garbage laying on the premises. At night there was no security and very questionable people were loitering in the parking lot. I felt very unsafe. I paid for two nights but left after one due to the conditions. Morning could not come soon enough. There was no one in the front office until 9am. I left at 8am. Needless to say, although I called to request a refund for the 2nd night and was told the manager would call me that day, no one called and I was charged the full amount for two nights. I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN AND RECOMMEND VERY STRONGLY AGAINST ANYONE STAYING HERE.

This is where they send the homeless and it is residential. There were people yelling, fighting all night long. Moving things and hitting walls. The worst stay I have ever had. Communicates with OYO and was told it would be escalated. Never heard back, never received refund. Filthy, smelled like an ashtray, no covers on electrical outlets. Pictures listed are NOT THIS PLACE!

We checked in, we were told where to park. I noticed a sign in the lobby about rooms rented monthly. That was (Red Flag #1). We parked where we were told, (Red Flag #2) monthly resident sitting in the parking lot junk everywhere. We both made comments that we were unsure if we would have our tires on the car when we woke up the next day. (Red Flag #3) We were taking up our bags to the room, the stairs had cigarette butts and trash on them. (Red Flag #4) We opened the door to the room and were hit with a masked musty smell that was horrific. The room looked nothing like what the Expedia site showed and was one of the reasons we chose this motel. We then took our bags back to the car and exited immediately and found another room in town. DO NOT STAY HERE. I feel the mis-representation of the property should warrant a full refund.

FECES on the outside hallway wall. CHARGED $3000.00 for TWO NIGHT BOOKING instead of $300.00. Their phone mailbox was not set up. No one would answer the phone. Management was aware of the billing error but did not attempt to text, phone, or email me about the error. I had to DRIVE my car to Newport Inn OYO to get the $2700.00 credited to my Visa card. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

They wouldn't let me check into the hotel even though I had a confirmation number and they charged me. So me and my wife had to find another hotel last minute and pay triple the price of what we paid for this hotel as we drove 9 hours to get there with nowhere to stay.

Im sure the hotel was good - however when I showed up in the afternoon two days ago during a wedding to claim my two rooms, the front desk could not find my reservation anywhere and I was not able to stay. They said refer to Expedia to get some kind of resolution, but that did not help me now. I was out of money and I had to find another hotel to stay at so that’s why I gave it a very low rating.

No remote for the tv, head board and pictures missing from the wall...outside in hallways...cigarette butts and garbage around the building also. Lots of people living in the rooms. Floors were sticky and dirty. But the staff was very sweet.

The staff at the desk was very friendly and helpful. We will pick a different hotel next time.

Property was dirty, in poor repair with peeling paint, holes in walls and mildew, along with cigarette butts everywhere (despite signs posted saying "No Smoking"). The room had no air conditioning and was stifling hot. Window screen was bent as if someone had tried to break in. I was not secure sleeping where the screen wasn't functional. I did NOT feel safe.There were some people there working on a vehicle. Several others looked as if they lived there???

The room smelt like mildew. No ice after 9pm then none tll 9am. Floor were dirty

Cheap place to stay when visiting Newport and dog friendly. The floors in the room were dirty and no amenities. Very loud and noisy- right next to the highway. The cleanliness of property was questionable and looked like people lived there- windows and doors open.

Why the signs say no pets, no smoking and no one live there??

The front desk girl was very nice that was it everything else was disgusting and horrible The room was disgusting absolutely not clean the window didn’t lock didn’t feel safe for the price it was not worth it $90 for a HORRIBLE room will NEVER EVER stay there again absolutely horrendous
