Travelodge by Wyndham Newport

Just a very basic place to stay. Nothing great but nothing problematic either.

It was horrible. Never ever will I ever stay here again or let one of my friends and family stay here. These people are horrible heartless people. Never ever again!!

Decent place for a night. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Check in was simple and staff was kind.

The lady attending the desk when we arrived was very helpful. I wanted to watch the soccer world cup and she was very helpful to find the proper channel. on a different day a couple was attending the front Desk. Different from the nice original one. This time the soccer world cup was on a different channel which we could not figure out ourselves. The husband of the lady at the front desk was coming to our room and asked what the problem was. I explained to him and told him that the menu on the screen is not exactly what is available as we found out earlier. I asked him to contact spectrum the TV provider and find out what channel FS1 is, the channel the soccer game was on. He refused and repeatedly told me what is on the menu is what is available and I told him repeatedly that this is not true. The he replied he is only an employee and cant help us. He did not try to call the provider Spectrum and try to find out the channel. (the days before we watched Fox which had the world cup games on channel 12 which was also not listed on the menu). But he refused to accept that and provided absolutely no help. So we had to go to the local Pub and spend money on purchasing beverages to sit there and enjoy the game. But it was his attitude that was disappointing because he refused to listen and try to help. There was another issue we did not like. We had paid the stay via Booking.com. After we checked in the desk lady told up that they want a credit card on file in case we damage anything. That happened never before. I told her that I have provided my credit card to pay for the stay to booking.com but she replied that they have no access to that card. When we left I asked the desk lady to check out room for damage and give me a written statement verifying that there was none. By the way this motel was pretty run down. The shower head seal to the wall was not secure. The curtain was too short and the water was running outside constantly when showering. The chair was in bad condition. The TV specialist who was supposedly knowing everything about the TV finding the soccer channel showed up and had no idea how to help.

The staff at the front desk were so welcoming. The room was pleasant and comfortable.

It was clean and comfortable They double charged me and they fixed the error pretty fast, but then they did the same thing to my sister and her husband but couldn't fix the issue. It seemed scammy.

It was passable. Front desk staff was unfriendly. The to go breakfast was basically a few picked over granola bars and some coffee and fruit. Not even well stocked.

Room was clean, staff was very accommodating and access was easy!

Friendly staff, clean rooms and facilities good location

They are very small with not much room to move around, they have an odor and stink. The remote to the tv made the fan turn on and off everytime the channel was changed. Worked for its purpose but will not stay there again.

Charged me for a room i couldn't stay in due to plumbing. Owner offered me a refund I never got and now its been a week.

It was an easy stay, close to the beach and shops, and very clean. My daughter and I just found the beds to be uncomfortable but we like firm mattresses

Rooms were uncomfortably hot and the stand up fan barely worked. Had to have the window and door open most of the time just to be comfortable. We were there three days, had asked for extra towels and a couple extra pillows, and we got one set of towels for the two of us and was told we didn't ask for pillows, and the guy just walked away from us.

We are planning toretun It was just what we were looking for

Very nice and helpful owner. He prefers to leave the downstairs units for the elderly which I thought was a really kind thing.

The motel was very clean with all the room amenities. We would would be pleased to come back on our next trip to Newport.
