Travelodge by Wyndham Newport

It is advertised for having breakfast. I don't call rice Krispy square and apples breakfast. You lied to me and tomorrow I am deleting this app and will never use it again.

Coffee for breakfast

Good location. Apartment with parking in front of door which is pretty confortable.

You could see they had done a quick and not great renovation (poor paint coats on some areas and not on others, room had a smell, walls needed to be wiped down, bottom of bathroom tile had light mold growth between tile and shower basin). The smoke alarm above the bed was out dated (2018) and had no batteries in it, so heaven help you if there were a fire. The walls were thin, so you could hear neighbors disagreements. The breakfast provided was granola bars and apples. Guests were grabbing up multiple bars, so by the time we got to the counter, only apples were left. We checked back for a granola bar restock that never came.

Staff is not friendly and not helpful. Needed to ask for the room code to get in the ice machine that’s in the locked building at the back. Could have given it to us when we checked in. Breakfast is granola bars to go. Hot water machine is broken and kettle has lukewarm water. Had to wait for staff to boil more water. Bathroom floor is wet every time we shower. Shower curtain is too short for shallow shower stall. Will be staying somewhere else.

I regret booking this hotel.

The location was good and there was a grocery store nearby and a starbucks, but theStarbucks, thus place was outrageously overrated I mean it was probably triple what it was worth.... apparently, during weekdays it could be 70$ but on weekends its triple, $150, and for a motel of this status, that was completely UTTERLY not worth it. Breakfast was a granola bar. Literally. Next time spending pennies more for a proper /decent hotel. This place should be 90 tops, price was outrageously of its league. Price gouging 101, I guess.

The staff was not very nice. When we checked out they didn't ask how was our stay was.

There was no one at the front desk until 3:00 pm. All night a couple on the floor above us was fighting and yelling very loudly, at 2:00 am I called the front desk to complain, he calls back to tell me they said they would be quiet, they weren’t. It went on all night. People in another room next to them were banging on the wall. We got no sleep all night! Also, it says on their website that they have breakfast, they don’t. You have a coffee maker and tea bags in your room. There was no one at the desk to check out or complain to the next morning. The office was locked. The hotel was fully booked and there was no place to park so we parked in the lot of the restaurant next door. All I can say is the bed was comfortable if we only could of gotten some sleep.

The staff was not helpful at all. We complained that there is a big stain on the floor and the smell of the room was awful . The person in the front desk just stated i cant do anything in moving you to another room neither i can give you a freshener since travel lodge uses only cleaning supply from the main office , if you want you can buy from your own pocket. Also our reservation is supposed to include breakfast. They said breakfast is 8-10 am. It was already 8:01 the door is still closed and nothing is being prepared for breakfast. There was also a fly in our room and the sheets have stains ,over all the experience is terrible

We couldn’t use the blow dryer because electrical plug didn’t work, older property but beds were comfy,

We have stayed there 3 times and rooms are clean and comfortable. The owner was nice the spouse was ok and check in was easy and the you gal that that was working the front desk at night was very nice. Breakfast was bars, apples,bananas and coffee and rice crispes. I wish they would have something like cereal and milk.

Good area and location to be in and many places around to go see many different things. Very good area to stay at. Many places to choose from and go see.

Very poor

We were in an accessibility room. Someone in a wheelchair would have to go to the end of the parking strip to get to the rooms because of the curb. Door had been bashed open and door frame screwed together but not securely and safety lock inoperable due to missing piece. Ugly artwork. Bed was comfortable. Shower controls confusing with hot coming out cold side. Minimal extras were soap, shampoo and conditioner and a box of tissues. I liked the folding chair which was more comfortable than the desk chair which wanted to tip me over backwards. All in all the main benefit was the price but I would have priced it more like the other cheaper motels in town. Check in was very easy.

The front desk was very friendly and had great customer service!! The bed was surprisingly comfy and had great pillows. Our room was clean for the most part, I just felt the shower could have been cleaner there was quite a bit of mold... I felt 11:00 a.m. checkout was a perfectly reasonable time and I loved the fact that we didn't have staff knocking on our door before 11:00 trying to see if we were out yet. I didn't feel rushed to get out but I also respected the checkout time and left at 11:00 a.m. The location was perfect!! Food and shopping within walking distance!! I felt the bathroom could have been a little cleaner... There was black mold at the bottom of the shower and the grout was pretty dirty I'm sorry to say... I also didn't realize what I booked the room that there was no AC. Luckily it was cold outside so we slept with the window open but I don't like to do that very often for security reasons...
