Waves Hotel NYE Beach - Newport OR

Staff were friendly and even offered to haul luggage up the stairs.

Wonderful location; near restaurants & beach.

This property is run down and dirty. The room had a stale, old smell. The bathroom had hair stuck to the walls, drip marks running down the doors, missing bolt on the main door lock, uncomfortable old spring beds and dirty floors. The elevator was gross! Spilled booze all over. I do not recommend! Worst hotel we have stayed at.

Easy parking. Property is dated and old but kept very clean and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Jaeden, at the front desk, was very professional and extremely helpful. This hotel is older and two of the three-story buildings do not have elevators. Only the last building has an elevator, so be aware if stair climbing is difficult for you. Jaeden offered to carry our overnight luggage to the 3rd floor. This was most helpful. Also be aware there is no beach access at the hotel. It's a very short drive to get to public parking and beach access. The ocean view was very nice. The only thing that would have made it nicer is to have an outdoor area to enjoy the view.

Stayed here for 2 days with family an unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing. The room was not in good condition and barely met the basic cleanliness or maintenance expectations. What was even more concerning was the exterior of the property—there was a dead bird on the stairway that remained there during our stay, along with a large amount of bird droppings covering the stairs. It was unhygienic, unpleasant, and made the property feel poorly maintained.

The pool, jacuzzi and sauna were awesome 👌

No major complaints. The building, appliances, etc. are all old, but functioned fine. Staff was friendly. For the price, I expected more - probably stay somewhere else next time.

Beds were comfortable, simple breakfast and it was clean. The floor in our room was in need of repair

I really felt the place was a dump. It's very poorly maintained. Difficult to get a hold of someone here because no one is at the desk. Not very clean either. I was sadly disappointed. The Pics do nothing for what your about to see when you arrive. Really ruined our entire trip. Management was difficult to deal with as well. I felt ripped off!

Room was very spacious & clean upon arrival. I was disappointed not to have the room refreshed with fresh towels & coffee re-supplied the 2nd day of stay. Upon asking for more coffee it was graciously given to us. We did not partake in the breakfast offered Location is wonderful to shops & a variety of eateries. Nice place to stay w/dog.

Casey in the office was an angel. 10/10 friendliest staff I’ve encountered on my trip to the coast!

Nice place to stay. Beautiful views of the ocean

Hot tub was broken. Staff letting kids play in the swimming pool with a garden hose very obnoxious. Sauna was broken. Continental breakfast only had bagels and cold cereal

We had view of the ocean and Heceta lighthouse from our room. Easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. Super helpful staff.

The guy working the front desk was super nice and helpful. The pool area was kind of dirty

The room we stayed in the floors were warped by water. It just looked not so great. The room there were two beds and 1 bed was terrible and squeaked and the other bed was good. The poop was amazing the hot tub the jets didn’t work. The breakfast was good. It was also pretty quiet while there.

Clean room. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely location in Nye Beach. I enjoyed taking a dip in the hot tub.
