Gorgeous location on the Bay, staff are very helpful and professional, multilevel terrace for drinks and food is beautiful It was perfect

Love the location! Amenities were also a great perk. Too small of rooms. Couldn’t fit all of our suitcases even though we booked the “deluxe suite”.

Staff, experience etc were great. However, the room we stayed in had paper thin walls and we were not able to sleep because of the noise.

All employees were very nice starting from Valet and restaurant employees. Hotel was very clean and well maintained. We stayed in a room in the Captains Quarters area which was awesome. Very roomy, clean and well maintained. The only complaint I had was that they didn’t do the smores roast at night even though it was on their site and written on the chalkboard by the front desk. LOL. Of course I say that jokingly because I love sweets but seriously we would stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the hotel to friends.

For the price breakfast should have been included at least.

My daughter’s wedding was in Newport this weekend and we had a large hotel block and hosted a post wedding brunch at NHI. We had many issues. I would definitely not recommend this property for anyone looking for service. While the staff was generally pleasant, they were mostly unhelpful. Our room was on the ground floor by the pool which was under renovation. All weekend we heard equipment moving, drilling and yelling. We have stayed here in the past and the hotel is loud in general. The room was ok, although we had holes in our sheets and the beds aren’t particularly comfortable. We also had a large suite for my daughter. There was a leak in the room so while all the girls were getting ready for the wedding there was a bucket with dripping water right in the middle of the hallway. Also, we ordered room service and no one came to clean the room. We had to call numerous times to get someone to clean. There were many other issues but the final and most upsetting was on check out day. The brunch we hosted was from 10:00 am- Noon. We requested a late check out until 12:30 so we could greet our guests and then have time to run back to the room and pack up and get our bags. The front desk would lot accommodate us and they did not care to even listen to us. The final straw was when my daughter’s car wouldn’t start and she was waiting for AAA while her baby was sleeping in the room. She needed 30 minutes to additional to check out and they made her wake the baby.

Overall the resort was very nice and my family had a nice time. The room was not as clean as it could be in the nooks and cracks and a little tight. The cable also kept going in/out. The shuttle service to town was a perk and the heated pool was very nice. We were disappointed with the spa, they were obviously short staffed and it was very basic for the price. The indoor pool was also closed. Aside from these few things, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back. If you are contemplating staying in town or Goat Island, i definitely recommend Goat Island to give you a resort feel away from the chaos when you have had enough. Not to mention the views of the bay are amazing.

Very convenient to have the shuttle bus available. We lacked time to use the bikes but they are a great perk. Loved the white robes in the bathroom. Could you more outlets in the room. Bedding was very good.

Cucugugug

Booked through Expedia and booked a water view room. When we got there we were told that we had a 1st floor room that faced the parking lot. The young lady at the front desk was very unhelpful and did nothing. Had coffee in the morning in the room and garbage was still on the table when we got back in the afternoon. Place is not worth $800 plus a night

Lovely place

Very very disappointed with the room considering the price we paid. We didnt go for the cheapest option because we wanted something special but it was very budget and cheap. Terribly badly insulated there were footsteps walking above and could clearly hear the people talking, unfortunately they kept going until 3 in the morning. They didnt remove their shoes until then either.

Staff was very polite and very helpful. Hotel was very clean and the view of the bay is beautiful.

Very friendly staff always ready to answer any question. Cannot say enough positive things about this resort, except to see it for yourself.

Nothing it is over hyped for no reason except the views and since it is on an island the views were good Nothing was good, staff weren’t nice and house keeping did a very bad job every day. It rained during our stay so they had leaks in our room and all over the property

Housekeeping was very loud cleaning the rooms next to us and we had to call down to get service the first day. They didn’t replenish our shower soap and when we checked out we were charged $70 for self parking instead of $35. For such a beautiful resort not impressive.

Loved the facilities and the water taxis and shuttles. The lady bartender in the fine dining was great! Bad service from the front desk and housekeeping. Had to ask three times for a luggage rack! Excellent stay . Shuttle was very convenient be sure to tip your drivers they are great. Food was excellent - will definitely be staying there again. Beautiful view from the captain’s quarters.

The property is amazing. I did find the staff a little put out by our questions.
