Great pool and view!

Clean rooms, including public bathrooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful view.

Location is good, hotel facilities are not bad. The hotel seemed old and less comfortable than our last stay two years ago. And it’s extremely pricey/ expensive. The pet fee was $ 150 / night, crazy! And it charged very high amenities fee and sales tax.

Front of House and Bar staff were very welcoming and did what they could to make our stay a good one. The bar games were great including darts and pool. Views from the rooms over the water were excellent. Indoor pool a little limited and dark but those with young children seemed to enjoy it. A bit frustrating that the free shuttle left 10 minutes early to take a party who couldn’t fit on the earlier bus (good in a way) but it meant that when it returned for us (10 minutes late) we were late for our dinner reservation

Overall I thought the hotel was a great place to stay for our mother/daughter trip. It has a shuttle to make it easy to get to the main downtown area of Newport. Also a short walk if you wanted a little exercise. The spa was great and we did the getaway package which personally I thought was great services for great value. I had John for massage and Arlene for body scrub and facial and they were both fantastic! Would highly recommend. The only area I would say could use improvement is the cleaning up around the pool area. We went there day one and when choosing a seat there were so many tables left with old food and I noticed it just sat out a while attracting some seagulls and other birds. I just felt like that staff was a little lackluster. The spa, front desk, parking attendants were all on top of it though! Rooms were clean and restocked appropriately. Not to be nit picky but my only complaint there would be it would be nice to have a DND sign (our room didn’t have one) and so they kept knocking at our door at 8:00 am. I tried to find someone to get one but I wasn’t successful. All this said, I would go back!!

Decor ambience spacious. The adult only lounge area at the pool. Nothing our stay was perfect.

Room experience: we paid $624.11 for 4 people in one room, the room is so small, and it enough for two people. The view is beautiful, but it is not worthy to spend $624.11 and we did not have enough to move around the room. Not recommended this place unless you are super rich and needed to spend your money.

This is a beautiful property and I recommend staying here versus the Marriott or something closer to all the restaurants and everything. This is a short walk or trolley ride to anything you want. The views are spectacular. We had a by Bi-Level Suite, which was great and had two bathrooms which made me and my husband very happy lol. The restaurant was fine not the best but that was OK and if you’re looking for a good gym, it’s not gonna be at this hotel but I don’t think people are there to work out that much. We would stay here again in a second, very family friendly, pet friendly, and lots of activities and amenities.

Awesome time, great place, and very dog friendly

The hotel was perfect for our baby moon! The hotel staff was super friendly the minute we got there, the rooms were very clean and spacious, the restaurant on site was delicious and the pool was perfect! The location of the hotel is also perfect, right on the water and within a 10 minute walk to the downtown area. Nothing! We have zero complaints!

Nice garden view from room Had to hunt down housekeeping to clean room. Waited a whole day. GeForce they refreshed. There are too many weddings and events going on, so they prioritise cleaning wedding guests rooms in order to get the next round of wedding guests room ready. A constant cycle.

Beautiful place and scenery.

We really enjoyed many aspects of Newport Harbor Island Resort. The grounds are beautiful, the amenities are excellent, and the location is fantastic. Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the property. We arrived around 2 p.m., understanding that check-in was at 4. We were told our room was “not quite ready” and encouraged to enjoy the resort. When we returned at 4, we were told it wouldn’t be ready until closer to 5. We explained that we had a 6 p.m. dinner reservation, but our concern was met with indifference. We finally received our room around 5, leaving us unable to get ready in time and causing us to miss our reservation. A few days later, we returned to our room around 11 a.m. and it had not been serviced, leaving us without fresh towels. Again, the front desk was polite but seemed unconcerned, and the room wasn’t serviced until several hours later. After our stay, we emailed the resort directly about these issues. Nine days later, we have received no acknowledgment or response. We genuinely liked the resort and wanted to leave feeling more positive. At this price point, problems can happen, but how they’re handled matters. Unfortunately, repeated indifference significantly affected an otherwise enjoyable stay.

Starting with Brian, the parking manager, the staff was friendly, personable and efficient. Check in was easy and again staff were friendly and helpful. Lunch was great with Del, who remembered a guests dietary needs from a lunch at least two weeks previously. Pool attendants again were helpful and went out of their way to make us comfortable on a very busy day. The Handicap Accessible room was spacious and had good grab bars in the bathroom.The family enjoyed using the complimentary shuttle van and the water taxi. The outdoor pool was perfect especially for a last swim on the day we left when the clouds had rolled in and I had the pool all to myself. Brian saw us off with the same pleasant friendly contact and as always name recognition. Impressive. The handicap accessible room had a tub rather than a roll in shower. Please think about changing this next time you remodel. Tubs and wheelchairs don’t mix!

We didn’t like the crowds at the pool, especially when one of the pool staff said some people at the pool were “day guests.” Given the cost of our stay, we don’t think “day guests” should be taking away our pool space and deck chairs!
