Very fancy rooms with low cost surprisingly

The location was central to the activities we planned. Check in was easy, the hotel was nice and well kept.

Horrible experience. Unfortunately the carpet in my room was stained and a moldy smell to the room. (Suite 210) To make matters worst no one came to clean the room or change out towels…zero service!!! poor poor service. I went to the desk to speak with management but was informed that no one was there to assist or provide any service. That seemed unrealistic. However, Melissa at the desk took my concerns down and assured me someone would call. I haven’t heard from anyone yet!!! The one good thing was ordering room service and the food was good. When I checked out Sunday…the young lady at the desk again, said management would contact me. As a paying customer-I feel I was taken advantage of. I will never stay at Doubletree properties again.

The property is horribly operated and very filthy.

Probably fine during moderate weather, but check the forecast, if it’s going to be hot, I’d avoid this property. Also, the convention center doubletree is physically closer to the airport.

Why am I paying for parking after spending $400 for just two nights. TV kept randomly shutting off

Despite this being an older hotel it is well maintained and clean. Easy access from I-26 and only 20 minutes from downtown Charleston.

Charge for parking yet, not enough parking to accommodate all rooms on property

Nice place. It was one of the quieter hotel rooms I have stayed in. I do think it’s ridiculous you had to pay for parking though.

The hotel was beautiful inside outside look old but the staff was great when I asked for a room on a higher floor. They gave complementary warm chocolate chip cookies as well. I would stay here again

Overall, the stay was good. The housekeeping made sure to change the linens while we were out of the room. There were some minor issues like low water pressure even though we were on the first floor, tiles in the bathroom being chipped, and one of the lampshades had what looked like water stains.

Check-in was late at night but service was excellent & cookies we received were warm & yummy!

I did not like the location, it was run down. I did not wind up staying there. I never checked in. I went there but was definitley not what I expected.

It was clean and close to the airport. The staff was absolutely the most unprofessional and unpleasant group that I have ever encountered in the hospitality industry. The only pleasant person was the young lady working at the bar.
