Rodeway Inn North Charleston - Ashley Phosphate

Just the area was sketchy. Lots of police around the area. Breakfast was "continental" which meant cereal, muffin, and bread. The coffee was not good. Went to Circle K to get coffee. Just my honest review. Owners was nice though

The nicest thing about the place was the bathroom mirror. It was backlit and the nicest thing about the place. Needless to say, we won’t be returning, probably to any Days Inn ever again 😭

There was underwear behind the bathroom door left from the previous guests that wasn't cleaned up by staff. I have never had a motel room that didn't have a place to hang up clothes. The breakfast was basic Continental with cereal and breads for toast

The A/C was working very well. We had to turn the temperature up because it was that cold. The only thing that was really bad is they didn’t clean the room well. The bed was ok but we were nervous since the floor and baseboards and tub were not clean like they should have been.

Tub was dirty and bottom of tub was cracked. No coffeemaker in room. If all you need is a bed to sleep in and get back on the road without showering it would be adequate.

I immediately raised the issue with the hotel staff, but they were not cooperative and refused to offer any solution, alternative room, or refund. Due to the condition of the property and the lack of response from the hotel, I am requesting a full refund for this booking. Additionally, I am requesting compensation for the inconvenience and unacceptable experience, as the stay did not meet basic hospitality standards or match reasonable expectations from the listing.

The room was pretty nice. The area is kind of sketchy. Looks like a lot of drug users and there was a man passed out on the steps when I went to go get something out of my car at ten pm. The shower was installed at a slight angle. So anything that you put on the shelf would slide off if it was buoyant, or lightweight

Rooms clean. Showers good. Staff was very good There were a lot of homeless and drug addicts on property. I accidentally broke up a sting operation helping a girl try to get the out of homelessen∅ free

The shower pressure was good and they emptied my trash daily. There were bugs, also hair was found on towels and in the shower. The place was not thoroughly cleaned.

The hotel was good for the money. Breakfast is just cereals, pastries. With flavor, water and coffee. The thing I don’t like is when you book on the website, they’ll charge you for the room and then you go to the hotel they’ll charge you $100 deposit. We the consumer need to know that before we book any hotel. It takes more than a week to get your money back and I stayed in many hotels that they don’t charge a security deposit … Hotels.com needs to do a better job telling the consumer which hotels demands a deposit that way I won’t book in that hotel. .

Please don’t stay here. The photos are catfishing you. Staff was friendly, but the rooms stink and it is not safe at all.

Was a ok place too stay, could have been better for the price

Breakfast included is a little laughable for what was offered. White bread was the only fresh ingredient. There was a toaster- but bread was the only option for it. There was coffee cake hostess individual wrapped. Instant oatmeal and instant grit packs with a microwave. No simple bananas or apples for fresh fruit option. It was questionable to call it a complimentary breakfast. The room- the floors were DIRTY. Like dirty dirty. Those floors dont appear to have been mopped in weeks. The beds did look clean but thats the only clean thing in the room.. we booked through booking.com and didnt want to go thru the hassle of trying to get a refund and try to find somewhere else since this is an area not in our home state. The amount of times we were asked if we wanted to buy drugs was crazy. The noise from cars revving their motors at the red-light was also very loud. When we reserved online- they didnt put any hold on my card. Upon arrival they charged half the stay and then a 2nd transaction to get the total correct. After checkout and receiving my cash deposit back- my account has 2 pending charges- the original total amount of 289 PLUS the first charge i saw which was like 164. So over 400 is pending out of my account for a 289$ stay. Beyond frustrating
