Hyatt Place North Charleston

Parking was great. My room was hot and the air conditioning unit made a loud continuous sound. The phone was not working in the room; therefore, I couldn't called the front desk. I was on the 4th floor and had to go to the front desk to let them know. The refrigerator had missing bars that would have kept baby bottles from falling when door was opened. There were no trash bags in the trash cans so I used my Walmart bag as the tash can liner to protect the hotel's trash can. The Front desk clerk came up and checked things but couldn't resolve any of the issues. I requested to move my family to include: a baby, a 4 year old, and a dog, to another room. While looking ice since it was hot in the room, we were informed that the only working ice machine was on the 5th floor. The new room we were given looked occupied because the bed was not made as if the occupants step out of the room for a moment. The next room we were given was okay; however, the phone receiver was separated from the chord and could not be reconnected. We stayed in this hotel last year and since we enjoyed it so much, we decided to stay again. Maybe it is under new management or something. We may have to look at a different hotel the next time we visit Charleston SC.

I would never go back

The property was clean and well maintained. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was the best I have ever had at a hotel. Buffet style with many choices. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, bagels, pastries, oatmeal, grits, fresh fruit(melon, grapes, strawberry and pineapple) fresh juices yogurt and cold cereal choices, pancakes and French toast. The coffee was wonderful as well!!! We will stay again if in the area

Plenty of parking for truck/ trailer. Excellent breakfast. Nice clean, large room. Great staff including Ellery at reception, Linda at breakfast & Devin a new employee that shows a lot of enthusiasm and is extremely pleasant

Our go to hotel when in the area! The staff is wonderful Ellery at reception and Linda at breakfast are assets to this location!! Breakfast is great compared to other hotels. Protein choices change throughout the week as do potato options always hot & fresh! But Hyatt needs to get more dishes & silverware & signage to make the breakfast area flow for customers & staff jobs easier. Room is large and clean as is common areas I would like more outdoor seating areas (near the pool/out back) Thanks for another great stay!

The room was fine for our stay, however, the breakfast was below par from what I have experienced in the past at other Hyatt Place locations. I would not eat there again, I am sorry to say.

The staff were all very friendly. We didn't have a chance to utilize the amenities but the pool looked small. My biggest complaint would be the location. It's not in a great area, which was surprising to us based on our original research. There were a few questionable people walking around the parking lot and even one that looked into several car windows (including ours we caught him red handed). We will not plan to stay in this area of town again.

The hotel is very clean. The rooms were large and very clean and excellent breakfast was provided. The only downfall to our stay was the air conditioner was not working well.

The front office staff was friendly and professional and my room was clean and Roomy. The Gym had weights, but the threadmills and the elliptical machines were not in working order. Otherwise, my hotel stay was good.

Clean updated rooms, less so in halls. Pretty good hot breakfast with several options. Have to put towels in hall to get fresh ones, and room cleaning.

Staff was great. Didn’t get to enjoy breakfast (overslept). Wish the restaurant was open.

This hotel was very clean. The room was spacious and quiet. The pool was on the cool side but not cold. Breakfast was good. There were some issues. One of the two elevators was out of service so longer wait times. The roll cart was difficult to push and turn and only 2 available. There were carpet places in the hallway that were unraveling a bit. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

Had a great experience the room was clean and roomy. Comfortable bed and pillows. We loved the location as well. Would definitely recommend.
