Red Roof Inn Milwaukee – Airport/Oak Creek

It was 368 usd for 2 nights and you would probably expect good accommodations and a clean space, it was horrible, the room was dirty, it smelled all like marihuana, The first thing on the room isa sign “we recommend you bring all your valuable items with you” it only means bad things, hairs on the sink, police around, music at nights, dogs, the bed was so bad we used towels to not sit on it.

Air conditioner was busted and leaking all over the room. The room smelled bad like a wet dog

As soon as I walked in the room all I could smell was a strong odor of smoke, I instantly called the front desk and raised concerns about the strong smell of smoke in the room and notified the staff that I was allergic to smoke and could not stay in that room. I was moved to a different room which I inspected to make sure it was clean. The sheets were dirty with hair, and what appeared to be blood and seamen, the floor was also dirty throughout with hair and sticky stuff. The lamp, desk chair and ac were covered in rust. The arm chair had tears all over it. The lamp cord was covered in dust. The flooring had gaps in it. I refused to stay in a room that was so unclean. I went to tell the front desk attendant and he was smoking in the lobby, right after I had just told him I was allergic to smoke. I asked to be refunded, but he told me I had to call Expedia. I spoke with Expedia and they said the property would be the ones to refund my stay. I ended up having to drive for a few hours at 11pm to get home. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. In the State of Wisconsin it is illegal to smoke in hotel lobbies. This was very unprofessional of the staff. I have pictures of all of these things as well. I would like to be refunded the money I spent for a service that was not provided and for the unsafe conditions.

Police in the parking lot when we pulled in, a drunk or high lady wouldn’t leave the premises, we felt very unsafe and left despite spending over $200 for one room for one night. Apparently a high drug and homeless area.

The light in the bathroom did not turn on would occasionally flicker but not turn on. The door handle to the bathroom was barley attached to the door which had a big hole on it. The ac unit was busted in did still work.

Location is safe, with several higher rated hotels on the same block.

No fridge, Only got 2 towels for 3 day stay and asked for 2 more after first night. No maid service. We got by ok. Quite slept good. We needed a budget stay and it met our needs.

It was nice and quiet. Needs more towels the bathroom was clean but looked dirty.

Gem in the rough

I promise you, you do not want to stay here. We got room 123 and it was digusting. All the fixtures were falling apart and when I went to check the bed I moved the fitted sheet and all you can smell is animal pee. The floor was dirty and the room smelled like mold, pee, and i don’t even know what else. Asked to be switched to a different room and got moved to 111. The moment we walked in it just wreaked horrible, worse than the first room. That’s when I called Expedia to get a refund because I honestly could not stay there. I’m still trying to get a refund from the red roof inn/expedia. This isn’t even a place where you want to just sleep, don’t do it.

The desk attendant was very nice and offered great advice about local attractions AC unit was broken and didn't work. No refrigerator. Sink was busted up.

Their rooms have bedbugs & staff shows no concern at all.

The rooms were run down. Smelled of cigarette smoke.

There were bugs in my room, half of the lights and plugs didn’t work

Wi-Fi is horrible. There’s no signal some rooms are not clean properly and some rooms have odors in it when it unpleasant stays I ever had a red roof in.

During check in, the front desk guy argued with me about a $50 cash deposit that was needed during check in that I informed him wasn’t listed anywhere. The place had a moldy smell to it. The Internet was down the entire time I was there and most of the channels on the tv didn’t work. Finally, my daughter left with a bunch of small bites on her leg. Wouldn’t recommend
