Overall it was a pleasant and brief stay - on a scale of 5 stars I’d give it a solid 4.

Size of the room and the layout. The shower did not work properly , water was coming out the spicket and the shower head at the same time with little preasure behind it!!!

The GM dismissed our reservation because they had no available room since a construction crew had trashed the room. Was going to get us a room at a holiday express ( a room not a suite as we had paid in advance for) she was not apologetic but proceeded to tell me that I was slaying her. This was a grown woman with not customer service skills. After telling her that it was unexceptionable she said that she would pay for one night at the Towneplace Marriot (our reservation was for 2 nights)GM also said Expedia with disdain in her mouth which also makes me think we got the short stick since we made our reservation with Expedia. My husband I both discussed if we come back to Oak Ridge which we will because we have family our go to will be Towneplace Marriot.

The hotel was very clean and welcoming. I will definately stay here again. The staff made us feel like we were at home. The meals were homemade and yummy.

Staff were friendly. Pool was cold but operational. Food was decent. Parking was easy. Our first room smelled strongly of fake lavender or some other synthetic scent, ineffectively attempting to cover up a stronger, fouler, slightly acrid odor that permeated the room and linens. The replacement room had a tamer smell, a whiff of old wet dog. After that, we stopped asking for new rooms.

Honestly pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. The staff was great and breakfast was probably the best I’ve ever had in a hotel!

The staff at the counter and at the breakfast buffet were super nice and helpful. My stay was during a busy weekend and I was lucky to have a room but my room was too close to the lobby and common area and it was quite noisy. Guests would come and go at various times in the night and they were too loud. However, the amenities were great, the room was nicer than anticipated. Definitely would stay there again. Room was clean, had a full kitchen, good water pressure in the shower and fully stocked. Great bed and choices of hard or soft pillows. Thank you! A clean and enjoyable place.

Everything was excellent. Only thing I would change is we wish the pool was a little warmer. They had the heat turned down, but overall it was great.

The layout of the room must have been someone's first attempt. To go to the bathroom, you had to navigate a space about 18" wide between the bed and the wall. The bathroom was so small that you had to shift around the toilet to close the door. The room had a total slapped-together feel, and this for how much money? Overall, find another place
