Motel 6 Oceanside, CA

Really good location. The room wasn’t too bad. But a strong smell like urine. Coming from the restroom.

I definitely did not enjoy my stay at motel 6 it was honestly horrible and so disappointing I took a shower the shower head was not on properly and leaked water all over the floor I took pictures as well then the tv did not work it was all static one of the lights in the room did not work for the lamps next to the bed

The room was dirty as a hell the floor and bed felt greasy the toilet and the shower share the same floor poop stains on curtains homeless people outside of the rooms

I kept having to remind the kids that at least we had beds and a toilet that flushed. I had to go through and wipe down and scrub off various disgusting sticky things from the bathroom and vanity are walls, and use Lysol wipes to clean to shower curtain, entire stall, and the floors everywhere. I will spare you tales of what the maids left behind in the gaps between the bed and the wall on the side with the AC unit. The bed was so hard we had to go and buy a foam pad. I couldn't walk after one night! We also had to buy new pillows, cases, and blankets because the ones provided were well used and their cleanliness was highly questionable. Our budget for fun went to surviving this room for 5 days.There were footprints on the beds and hair in the sheets from the moment we arrived. Once we got everything cleaned up and comfortable for our small family, our trip was mostly enjoyable. Smokers outside of our room bothered us at night. My kids often didn't feel safe as we were walking in and out due to then amount of vandalism and lurkers who would be just sitting by their rooms on lawn chairs. I'm sure they were just interested in who was coming and going, but my teenage girls found them unnerving. Confession, I haven't stayed at a Motel 6 in a metropolitan area before. This was our first time. We usually choose hotels, but due to budget, motel 6 was our only option. We all agree that it ruined our trip. Next time, we just won't go if we can't find a better hotel. Too stressful.

There was cockroaches in my bed when I woke up

The room had a crack tv which we had to inform the front desk so that we don’t get charge.

Worst hotel we have stayed at. The room was pretty small which is expected for a Motel 6. However, one of the beds blocked the ac unit which caused the room to feel very hot. The restroom door wouldn’t close all the way, the shower was small and looked dirty. A spider and a cockroach were found in the restroom as well. The environment of the parking lot looked sketchy. The curtains by the window had stains and tiny holes that let light shine through. The tenant in the next room had a dog that would bark occasionally. In the morning we were about to exit the room to check out but heard a male and a female arguing right outside our door. We had to hold off on leaving until the area was clear out of fear for our 3 children. I unfortunately didn’t read the reviews before booking and was mislead by the decent pictures posted for this location. I have stayed at another Motel 6 close by and it was definitely a better experience than the Oceanside location.

So drove 2 hours to find out that the Motel 6 had two rooms reserverved in my name which I called my bank to get reimbursed for them. I will NOT be using this site ever again.!!!!!! Had to book another hotel 5 minutes away from my convention site.

The place could have been cleaner but staff was friendly. Pool needs some work but great location

One of the better Motel 6 in Oceanside, but I really wish people weren’t allowed to loiter around the parking lot and room doors.

Trip was for work. When booking (as always) this Motel 6 states they have daily housekeeping. But not one day did my room get cleaned.

I know it’s a Motel 6, but this was actually very bad. The restrooms smelled awful, the toilet was nasty, and the sheets looked dirty and smelled like cigarettes. The shower was very small—you could barely move in there. This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at a motel.

Clean room. Shower stunk of mold. Towels are thin so you won’t steal them. Only 2 pillows on the bed so you won’t steal them. No shampoo or soap.

Staff was cool, shower was small and old with stains and the curtain seemed old and dirty too.
