Mt Royal Motel

I liked staying directly across from the amusement park! No worries!! 😃

It’s really run down, but if you have stayed you know what you get. I’d never pay the weekend prices which I’ve seen over 400$ a night. It’s not worth 100$ a night but they get away with it due to location. The pool is gross and shared with the hotel next door. The staff is not super welcoming and don’t say much when you check in.

Do not book! Room was not clean.

Mold in showers and mattresses were awful

It was right there around everything. Staff was excellent.

The room was clean and the staff were very good. The parking was adequate, but sometimes had to park a ways from your room.

This was perfect for our one night stay. The main purpose for our visit was the Pier and Palace Playland so we were easily able to walk back to the room when needed. Our kids loved the pool. The downside was how loud the train was and you could hear the rides still going later at night but the friendly front desk and ability to park at the hotel early more than made up for that.

On the positive side, the bathroom was clean, plenty of towels. A great area with easy walking to many amenities and the beach.

Wifi was not good in the room. It worked better sitting outside the room or in the lounge. No robe/towel hooks in the bathroom. The box spring on one bed was broken, with parts of the wood frame sticking out underneath and touching the floor.

This is an older property but room was clean, beds were comfy and the bedding smelled freshly cleaned! It had an ocean view as well as a view of the amusement park! Great people watching venue on seconds floor!

The location of property is very good, right near it all. when we arrived to the room they were not as big as expected and the kitchenette was very small. The room we stayed in the bathroom sink was clogged and the bathroom ceiling was damaged with water (not dripping, just stained) sad thing is we did see a roach in our room, the lighting is very limited and so are the electric outlets. We were told it will be going under renovations and so hopefully for next summer is all set. Overall I would stay again because the staff is friendly and I do want to say the front desk receptionist with the curly long blondish hair and glasses with a Turkish accent was AMAZING!!!! I do not remember her name but I would like to see her next summer providing the same service as she did to myself and my guest. thank you for the service and we will be back:)

Room was not as described. It was very dusty/dirty. Sheets were not cleaned. Hair in the tub. There was a large gap next to the AC, you could see directly outside. Had to leave and go somewhere else.

Can’t beat the location if you like the action of the pier, amusement park, restaurants, etc

The location of the motel and pool was the best. We had a great time and would consider staying here again

Parking was convenient and your seconds away from the beach pool was nice and very deep had a good stay
