We come every year and this place never disappoints . It’s right not the beach, three pool! Perfect size rooms
-
Great room , great location and ability to use 4 pools was nice.

The pictures online were nothing like the room we got. We were on the street with very loud drunk people walking around and a train that goes by all morning starting at 5am. The hotel is old and dingy. Super Run down (at least our room was) our friends were in the main house which was big, nice and had a lot of light
-
Be aware that the rooms are quite noisy. A train passes by multiple times throughout the night, making it difficult to sleep. Overall, our experience did not match the expectations set by the online description and photos.

When you are booking the hotel stay and you see this beautiful room with a beautiful ocean view and beautiful breakfast room IT'S A SCAM. When I arrived at the hotel I went to the front desk and was checked in, I was given a key with the room number and told were to go and when I got to this room I put the key in the door and it didn't open so I called the front desk from my cell phone and was asked were I was which kinda through me alittle when I explained were I was they had to send a person to get myself and husband and brought us to another building with the same room number. Ok I was expecting to get the room that was on the app but instead got a room that the refrigerator door was hanging off and old coffee pod was in the coffee maker next went to the bed room the a/c that was in the wall was held in with white duck tape and really didn't work to cool the room so I tried to open a window and the window cranks were broken. The entrance door you could see the outside because the door didn't the frame. The room itself was out dated. I spoke with another guest at the hotel and he fell for the room on the app and got a room like I just described. I would advise you to stay clear of this hotel because you are being SCAMMED by what you see on the app and what you actually get for a room. I usually never write a review like this but people have to know before wasting there money on a room that doesn't exist.

Beautiful property and great location. Parking can be a challenge.

The beds were hard. It’s outdated.
-
Very close to everything and a lot of parkings, many heated swimming pools Kitchenette something are missing, my coffee machine doesn’t work
-
A few things to take note of- no elevators ,and a loud train travels the tracks. Not a problem for us! We love this property and recommend it.
-
Fantastic stay! I would definitely stay again. This property is in a resort that has four pools and a hot tub and ocean access. It’s walkable to everything.

The bed was comfortable and woke well rested. I might suggest installing the television 8-12 inches higher. We got a laugh when we saw how low on the wall it is. Definitely a good thing there are extra pillows to prop yourself up to view it. However, we’re in old orchard- not much tv viewing. But to settle down for the night we do like to find something to watch. The AC works great but makes some weird noises. It almost sounds like a coffee maker that is circulating water. Only much louder. I would recommend this property to couples as it really is a gem. The Waves next door (sister property) seems to be more family oriented. The Ocean House has sweet character. I couldn’t see much from the windows but I did pick the standard room. It was on the second floor. The building itself is old so lots of noises when other guests are moving about. Family gatherings or small events would be perfect here. Plenty of room downstairs with lots of relaxing seating. I was very happy with the stay. We had great weather. And will definitely consider this location in the future.

Like or something. The pic was like 5 star and the room was 2 or 3.

The ability to use all hotels associated pools beaches hot tub grilling patio picnic areas easy walkable access to the pier arcade shops amusement park restaurants Being on 2nd floor neither bedroom had a tv one bedroom didnt have a dresser or closet running out of body wash garbage bags coffee haven to call front desk the couch in sitting area was hard as a rock the shared balcony needed some repairs
-
Beautiful accommodations with ocean views. Extremely well mannered and accomodating staff. Clean, quiet and luxurious
-
Nothing Bait and switch on the reserved room . Bought ocean view and on the beach for almost $300 night and switched to room on the street and railroad tracks. Not the only guest this happened to. Talked with two other parties near me. Same thing happened to them. Scumbag outfit.
-
The old fashioned beach house feel. It’s close enough to all the restaurants and the little fair, but down just far enough to be away from the hustle of it all. Super easy beach access, but also having the pool for something more private. N/A

On the positive side, the location is right on the beach and the main street in Old Orchard Beach and the staff were helpful. However, the positives stop there. The Ocean House has this beautiful lobby and dining area that are completely unused, which is a shame. Turns out that Ocean House, The Gull, and The Wave (and maybe others) are all part of one hotel group now, so the main lobby (check-in, coffee) are all two blocks down at The Wave. Not a big deal, but slightly annoying. The bigger issues are: 1) The rooms do NOT match online pictures, and 2) The rooms have not not been updated in 30 years. Let's start with the pictures. Based on the write-up, I was lead to believe we'd have a "Streetside with Living Area" room in Ocean House. Turns out it's a room in an adjacent building called "Ocean House at Pierce Street", which is a run down building next to Ocean House. As for the rooms, props to the photographer because the actual room was drab. That brings me to the beds. I stay at a lot of hotels and I haven't slept on a spring mattress for at least 20 years. That should really tell you everything you need to know about Ocean House.

Great beach access! Staff was excellent!
-
Overall it was a nice stay.

Points négatifs : La chambre était beaucoup plus petite que ce que les photos laissaient paraître. L’insonorisation laissait à désirer. Nous entendions très bien les bruits provenant du corridor et des chambres voisines.
