The Gull Oceanside Inn & Motel

Very clean. Staff was very friendly. Beach was a one min walk from our door. Amusement park & town center was also just a quick walk away. Plenty of coffee and breakfast places nearby. Loud train did go by every few hours but didn’t bother us personally. Would stay here again for sure!

property was not as advertised, it was old and run down and way too expensive for what it offered, certainly not something to repeat, simply not worth the money.

Parking

Loved the bed very comfortable. Also loved the heated pool and how close it was to the beach. Did have a little patio with chairs to sit outside, really liked this part. Can't think of anything except I did not realize there cooking available.

It was away from the hustle and bustle enough to really enjoy the beach. The train is super close and runs all night long.

I liked the looks of the decor and that it was quaint. I liked it was very close to the ocean but not too close. There wasn’t any breakfast included and that The people that were on the porch late at night and early morning kept waking me as the room is not sound proof.

The bed.

The closeness to the beach, the relaxing atmosphere of the Inn, and the beautiful ocean view. We could hear the waves from our room; we really felt on vacation. We also liked that we had access to all 4 resort pools and the hot tub. Rooms are not soundproof, and during our stay, patrons could sometimes be loud in their rooms, common areas, or in the garden. Something to keep in mind! The AC helped cover the noise, but if you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs.

Definitely would stay again

Very clean and was on the beach and walking distance to restaurants, shops, and bars. Nothing, everything was perfect!

There weren't any places to hang wet towels or a place to rinse your feet after the beach. I didn't like that you had to walk across the street to check in at a different motel.

We enjoyed how close we were to the beach. We had an experience with bed bugs in our room. We contacted housekeeping and they did an amazing job of contacting the manager right away. Management removed the mattress and box spring, replaced it with new. The room was sprayed as well. However, management never checked on us to see if we were ok. We asked to have our room discounted since we experienced this issue, and again no response. Now we have to deal with not taking this home with us. The aftermath that we had to take example: 10 loads of laundry, bagging our items and clothes and to keep our own home from being infested with bedbugs has been a nightmare. I was disappointed that we had to go through this once returning home.

Been a visitor to Lafayette Hotels for 20 + years, have stayed at Waves and Seaview, big fans!

This hotel was clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced. Everything was great. I didnt dislike anything.
