In the heart of downtown. A gem of a place, an old hotel but quiet, clean and it was very well maintained. A quick overnight but on our list to visit again.

We had a great stay, front desk lady was very friendly and explained where everything was located and the times for milk and cookies, coffee, breakfast, etc. the property is beautiful, the only issue we had was the awkward door handles on the bathroom, but it was so minor it wasn’t enough to complain about at the time, we had a bottle of champagne in our fridge on arrival with glasses which was a nice touch. It is walking distance from multiple shops and restaurants, we enjoyed our stay and the staff were great, we will definitely stay again

I probably wouldn't stay here again or recommend it. The location was decent, but that was about the only positive. The hotel didn't really offer any amenities, and parking cost an additional $32 per night, which wasn't included in the room rate. The room had wall-mounted shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers, but they were empty when I checked in. The walls were also very thin, I could clearly hear my neighbors throughout the night, which made it difficult to relax and sleep. Overall, it was an okay stay, but not a great value for the price.

Very cool property in a convenient location but wouldn't stay there again. We checked in on time, bathroom had not been cleaned or stocked with towels from previous tenant. Informed front desk, they promised the room would be cleaned before we got back from our walk. 4 hours later, room was not cleaned and we found our own towels from the lobby.

Loved the older building style. Charging guests for parking on the lot behind the hotel seemed like an unnecessary up charge. We did not like that at all. Restaurant off of lobby (which hotel may not have any control over) was sorely understaffed and service slow and generally poor.

    Great location

First room we were given was not ready - like under construction not ready. Front desk guy was very apologetic and got us a different room. It was much better. But still not super clean - stained curtains, carpet and bedding. Bathroom tile had grout peeling up and just felt pretty old and tired.

Nice bar. Our kids loved the evening cookies and milk. Beautiful, historic hotel.

The room appeared to be fairly clean, but then we noticed drain bugs in the shower. We had requested to have our room cleaned on our 2nd day at 8:30am with the front desk. She sent a text and said that it would be taken care of, we went to breakfast in the restaurant onsite, and after spending 2 hours there due to being short staffed, we went back to the room and it hadn't been cleaned. We went out for the day and upon our arrival to the hotel at 3:30ish it still hadn't been touched. We called front desk and asked about it again and were told that they were working on it again. After a third phone call stating that they were on their way, we left for an evening out and they still did not come to the room. After another call, the front desk personnel, came up quickly to give us a set of fresh towels and said that we were on the list for the next day, but that we should call again in the morning, just to be sure. The room was finally serviced after another stop at the front desk on day 3. Needless to say, this trip was ok, but not what we expected for a special hotel stay for our 20th anniversary. We usually stay at the Hyatt and thought we would try somewhere else for our anniversary. We won't return.

Would have been better if the parking was free and we were notified of street closures due to road work and building reconstruction

It is a beautiful old building with comfortable rooms.
