Spark by Hilton Opelousas

We were expecting a coffee making and cups in the room, no laundry bags for dirty clothes, breakfast was very scant, room above us the kids stomped and jumped til after 2am

1st the staff! They were great. Nice. Helpful. Even the owner was nice and helpful when the water did not get hot. Overall the staff made the stay. Now for the property itself. Did not enjoy or liked. Even though it was a Spark it is under the Hilton brand and we just expected so much more. The quality was so poor. The options for breakfast were subpar and reminded me of a gas station. The bed was rough. The bedding and sheets have seen way better days. The room overall was just old and the upgrades done were not done by a professional whatsoever. There was a refrigerator but the only microwave was in the lobby. There were no other amenities in the room or on the property. Safety was a concern as the door brace was not secure. It did appear to us that this was an old hotel turned into a Spark. We are apart of the Hilton family and tend to stay at Hilton locations when traveling for both business and pleasure.

The rooms was clean but the bath door wouldn’t close and the lady that check me in give me a far from the elevator #228 and my husband had a back problem when I checked in early

I actually expected cleaner rooms. I get the concept of it being a 'minimalist' or spartan style hotel but, I cannot accept either of those things to assume an unclean condition. The first room attempt had a dirty toilet and I stepped on a piece of glass. The second room was better but, still had its issues. I wish that I coukd attach photos. I believe that when these things happen that rooms should be comped or at least partial refunds issued for the inconvenience. It is truly a pain especially when there are several competitors in the area. It does shape my experience and expectations with specific franchises.

My goodness this is the worst place I’ve stayed at. Motel 6 would’ve been better. Literally one star hotel.

Neat, clean, comfortable room, Staff was very friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed our stay.

Air-condition worked great, no complaints with my stay. Breakfast could have been better. But overall great experience, will come back.

Overall the stay was very pleasant, the room was spacious and clean, everything in the room function properly! The staff very nice and helpful! I would definitely use this hotel again!

The site claims there is a pool. I did not see a pool any where on the site. This was disappointing and misleading. The floor was damp under and around the air conditioner. The breakfast was disappointing as all they offered was cereal and muffins.

The room was clean but right after we got to our room there was a roach on the wall and the ac unit does good but it was leaking to the point the carpet was wet.

This hotel stinks. As soon as you walk in, the smell of mildew/mold just about knocks you over. The linens were worn and ratty, and do not smell clean. There was a dark ring in the toilet and stains in the tub. The remodel is nice, but it is not taken care of. We were honestly shocked.

Nice, but nothing exceptional. The breakfast was minimal; carafes of hot water were not hot. TV channel selections were minimal. The room was clean and comfortable.

Room was very clean and quite large. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The AC cooled the room at a very good temperature. We did not use the pool. The staff was pleasant and very helpful
