Holiday Inn Express Orange Beach by IHG

The lobby was very clean but the rooms weren't as fresh. Not dirty, but the sheets smelled a little musty. Everything else was A+

Great location, great amenities. Staff was so nice and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an affordable spot in Orange beach.

Clean, great staff, wonderful amenities

The staff was great, but the room was limited in comfort - a bed was broken (sunken in on one side), the outlets were all loose and didn't charge consistently, and the toilet wobbled.

The amenities at this hotel, make it worth the stay. The pool in proximity to the beach is excellent! The hot breakfast items are very good. The room itself leave a lot to be desired. There were big brown stains on the couch cushion a large stain going down the wall carpet was torn up and at one point, we received a towel that was viably stained. All things considered we would absolutely go back to this hotel. Especially now that we know what we would be walking into. The staff was excellent, and although they could not address our room concern with a room change, they did provide us with some vouchers to get food and drinks from their pool bar/restaurant.

Friendly staff, good breakfast food. Not the cleanest though. The shower was kind of dirty, pool deck area could have been cleaner.

The only negative thing I can say is that I had to tell the front desk several times about the trash cans around the property. They were overflowing with trash. I think they need someone to stay on top of the pool are and breakfast.

The location was excellent, my only complaint was the carpet in the room. I feel like that needs to be updated and replaced. Carpet in a room these days is a little nasty. But other than that, overall decent experience for the price.

It was on the beach, shower was great, mattress needs to be replaced, air conditioner sounded like a jet plane winding up for takeoff, air conditioner was leaking out in the floor two feet in front of it so bad carpet squished when you stepped in front of it. Probably not staying there again.

My room was clean. No coffee maker? Sofa bed could have been replaced. Questionable stains through out. They ran out of the large towels? We used hand towels to dry off 2 days. Hotel was sold out, perhaps that affected the laundry schedule? We chose not to have house keeping in our rooms during our 4 day stay. The pool furniture could be bleached rinsed. A few of them had mold on the head rest. Lots of people, pool water very cloudy and not clean. Not sure if they cleaned them nightly, which they should given the amount of people. The ocean during this time had a lot of debri and algae? Overall Holiday Inn express is a nice affordable stay, but this time around not so much.

Location is terrific, right on the beach. Staff was friendly and helpful day and night. Daily breakfast was enjoyable. Room was very clean. Pool area is great with connection straight to the beach. They offer beach chairs and umbrella for small cost. Overall this hotel is perfect for your orange beach visit.

Upon arrival were checked in quickly. Front desk gave us key cards, a towel card, parking pass, and wristbands for the towels. Once we got in the room it was clean and cool. The bathtub was a little worn, but clean and drained well. There was a small fridge and microwave that were clean. Our room had a balcony that looked over the souvenir shop with a small view of the beach to the left. The curtains were kinda hard to slide, but not impossible. We had a king bed with 4 pillows that was quite comfortable. The first elevator opened and shut quickly, the second one was very slow and made some noises. The pool/hot tub area was clean and handicap accessible with a snack bar serving small menu and beverages/cocktails starting at 12pm. The walk to the beach was easy, chairs and umbrellas available to rent through another company if needed. Upon leaving the beach there were 2 foot showers and one full shower for rinsing off the beach. One afternoon they also had live music by the pool. The breakfast was pretty good. Biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon or sausage, pastries, bagels, cereal, oatmeal with toppings, pancakes with toppings, yogurt, juices, and fruit. The endless coffee (served 24/7) was freshly ground and had all the add ins available. They also had a gym, washers and dryers (laundromat style), and a small gift shop with snacks, drinks and beach items. The WiFi was free and the tv had a lot of channels. Stay was great, staff friendly, very convenient!!

Great service & great hotel!

Overall the hotel location and amenities were great, my room that was booked was considered “down” and was given a lesser room than booked in advance and was told “sorry”. The elevators were extremely slow and rough.

I really enjoyed our stay, however cleanliness is a changer for me.

Really dirty rooms and just dirty hotel in general random stuff on floors near the only elevator. Also it was super hot in the entire hotel besides the room which was annoying. Breakfast was good, housekeeping was bad. They came they vacuumed they left. Missed things just not worth the money we had family stay at another local hotel for roughly the same price and it was much nicer.
