Holiday Inn Resort Kissimmee by the Parks by IHG

We requested a kettle prior to check in & this was waiting for us in the room (for us brits preferring tea over coffee)! Fridge & coffee maker. Ice machine on every floor. Pool was clean and warm, most of the time very quiet, no issue getting a lounger under one of gazebos. Room had great air conditioning. The hotel staff were all polite & helpful, the cleaning staff came in every day, fresh towels daily. It was so refreshing to stay in a hotel without the smell of weed wafting in the corridors! Once in our room (6th floor), we never heard a sound, it was so peaceful. Cannot fault in any way. Free parking was a bonus, we knew about the resort charge in advance via Expedia so no surprises there. Can highly recommend this hotel & will definitely use again next time we visit Orlando

If this hotel were better maintained, the stay would be more pleasant. In the pool area the shelf with the pool white towels was surprisingly full of dust and grime when is supposedly to be cleaned and neat. Staff is very nice and friendly. Overall is ok if what I mention doesn’t bother you at all , Some rooms have a view of dirty walls and ceilings, along with air conditioning units from other rooms.

We just stayed one night to go to the animal kingdom the next day, which is 2.4 miles away so great location. The kids enjoyed the chuck e cheese arcade. And the pool and hot tub were nice. It was awesome that there was a dunkin insight as well.

Door didnt unlock right was told just jiggle handle up and it will open everytime left room took 20 minutes to get back in room

The bar tender Christina made our afternoon on Saturday. She was fantastic! Personable, funny, relatable… worth the money spent over there! Because of her personality, she helped us get a lot of the “issues” from check in fixed. She called Alex over who was able to help us sort out everything wrong with our room and check in. Check in was terrible. Nilton was awful and unfriendly. He didn’t want to give us the room we booked because we booked through a 3rd party (his exact words). When we put our foot down and said we were keeping our room booked with a king bed, he gave us a room with no shower curtain, no towels for showering, no AC adjustment, etc. it was the worst experience. The property was run down. Rooms were run down. The hotel needs a little TLC.

Staff was friendly and showed they cared. Our first room had stains on the couch, crumbs on the chair, and unclean mattress sheets. Staff quickly moved us to a new room, which was an improvement, and the mattress was clean. However, the couch in the new room also had stains. We appreciated the quick response from staff, but the repeated cleanliness issues were disappointing.
