Monumental Hotel Orlando

This place is old outdated dirty on the outside looks like an abandoned hotel that has no upkeep! Don’t waste your money or time at this hotel!!

The lobby, hallways, and elevators had no air conditioning, making them feel like a sauna. The hotel also had a musty smell, which may have been made worse by the heat. Oddly enough, the hotel was even missing its name on the outside of the building, which added to the neglected appearance. The one bright spot was that the air conditioning in our room worked perfectly, and the staff was friendly and courteous throughout our stay. The pool had potential to be beautiful, but it looked dirty, poorly maintained, and uninviting. With some basic maintenance and renovations, this property could be much more appealing. Overall, I was very disappointed with my stay. Unless the hotel undergoes significant renovations and better upkeep, I would not stay here again.

The hall smelled old and musty, and there was no air conditioning, which made it very uncomfortable. The bathroom had a strong sewage or pipe odor, and even the water smelled unpleasant. The Wi-Fi they provided was very weak and barely worked. The towels were very small, and the entrance was confusing because there were no clear signs or directions. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and I expected much better.

Good price near to sea world

The pool and hot tub are to die for and it’s open until 11pm. The highlight of our trip. The rooms have a very slight smell to them, but not a bad smell. Breakfast is a small buffet that you have to pay for, and there’s not a lot of options, but decently priced. Would stay here again just for the pool and hot tub. Also really close to a lot of places.

The hotel facilities are in poor condition.

The Pool! The pool Towles

The location and cost was excellent, the staff was pleasant I specifically stated I need a fridge for my sons medications in my booking. The fridge in our room did not work. The new room had a working fridge but the beds were smaller and horrible quality. The check-in desk is clear across the hotel from where you are able to pull up. There are no lights in the pool despite it stating it is open until 11pm. The only working ice machine was next to the check-in desk.

The first room had a bed that was unusable. The room we were transferred to was much better and more attractive. The flooring was new in the first room and very nice. The desk employee was so nice and helpful we would return to the hotel because of him, Paul Bueno. The hotel furniture and decor was horrible. The public women's room was the worst. All the help were charming and helpful and seemed like family. The entire place smelled old and mildewy.

Elevators were dirty in each corner and smelled. Pool was not cleaned . Place smelled like old perfume and cigarettes.

Great location, great pool, great price. Was concerned reading the reviews but it was actually not a bad place to stay. You cannot beat the location close to everything without being in a super busy location, pool was great. And for the price we paid I can't complain about the little things. Bring your own pillow and a tablet to watch movies on and stock up on drinks/snacks before you get there and it's not a bad place to stay at all Pillows very thin, no microwave in room, TV didn't work well, very limited food available on-site - vending machines empty, restaurant only open for breakfast

Room had a mini fridge. Rooms are very humid even with the air conditioning set on 73. Bathrooms don’t have exhaust fans or ventilation. They’re very hot. Mattress doesn’t have a protector/liner, you feel your partners every move, the mattress is an old style spring mattress. Carpets are all stained so make sure to bring slippers or sandals to walk around in.

If nothing else… new carpets would be a plus.

Lobby, no ice maker, no bar

The location was lovely and away from all the noise. I didn't go to the pool, but I really wanted to! It looked gorgeous. Unfortunately the sheets and pillows had a ton of stains, and the pillows looked almost moldy under the pillowcases. I got a great deal, so I can't be too upset, but if I had paid the typical price, I would have been really aggravated. Something to keep in mind! Otherwise, it was great.

Somebody open the room door in the midle of night. The shower faucet was leaking all the time. This is the second time I stay there, the first time was not bad.
