Dive Palm Springs Hotel - 21 & Over

The staff was amazing very accommodating especially to my medical needs would definitely recommend nice and very quiet and makes for a very relaxing stay.

I absolutely loved the intimate setting, pool, sauna, cold dip and my room was amazing. The linen sheets and comfortable bed meant I slept amazingly well. The staff are considerate and have the most beautiful energy. They are incredibly helpful and generous with their attention and recommendations. I haven’t been on a trip like this in many years where’d I was just happy hanging around the property. Nothing.

I contacted the front desk as soon as we checked in and asked to have it repaired. I was told that it could not be fixed at night but that someone would come early the next morning. When I contacted them again in the morning, they said the technician was not there. Finally, at 9:30 a.m., as we were walking out the door, they texted to say that someone could come fix it. With an 11:00 a.m. checkout time, the best they could do was offer to repair the shower—a basic necessity—just 90 minutes before we had to leave? The air conditioner is installed directly above the bed, so no matter how you adjust it, it blows straight at you while you sleep. The bed was also squeaky and uncomfortable. No full size mirror in the room, no power outlets in the bathroom to use for hair dryers etc. How such a run-down motel managed to receive a Michelin Key and market itself as a boutique hotel is baffling.

Staff was awesome, it’s a quaint little place and we enjoyed the amenities. The breakfast was delicious. Only thing for us was the traffic noise in the back area of the property took away from the serenity at times.

received a free upgrade. We loved the easy accessible entrance and the yard amenities. However, once we left, we were charged $100 worth of charges for chocolate we didn’t eat, a damaged plant pot with a dead plant that we didn’t touch, and a circular burn on a gold tray that wasn’t even in the location they told us it was in. Upon inquiry, they showed us pictures of the items damaged in another room claiming it was removed from the room by housekeeping and the picture was taken in their office. Professional concierge would ensure that proof of damage is taken within the existing room. They said they would follow up after taking this to their manager but did not. I had to recontact them after two weeks. This place was one we wanted to return to as we are frequent travelers. However, the way the damages were addressed and charged when they were not done by us, is ridiculous. We even showed them video of the room. If you do stay here, make sure you take pictures of everything upon arrival and after you leave. This has never happened to us in any travel experience. It’s unfortunate that the hotel is dishonest. Upon inquiry they tried to say the tray was next to the fridge and the pot was damaged and that they weren’t charging us for a dead plant. The pictures they sent us in fact show it was the bathroom tray and the pot is undamaged. As you can see there is no gold tray by the room and no damage to the pot. Be careful booking here.

We so thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Dive Palm Springs. Robert was especially friendly and helpful getting us checked in quickly and acclimated to the space. The picket fence enclosed property and clever landscaping creates a private little, funky garden and pool oasis. The rooms were clean, well-stocked with snacks and drinks for purchase and L’Occitane products in the bath. The decor was retro-chic in our king-size mini suite room. There is a small kitchen on property and an included breakfast which we enjoyed poolside. Our only regret is that we stayed just one night. Highly recommend!!

Room was spotless with fresh linens and a clean bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast had a good selection and was consistently fresh. Comfortable stay overall—would recommend.

Comfortable room with a lovely size bathroom. Great AC in the very hot weather. Pleasant breakfast but could have more variety. Nice outdoor space and pool. Nothing in particular.

This property is an absolute oasis. From the aesthetics to the service, I would stay here every time hands down. Loved everything!

That said, the stay also highlighted some operational challenges. We arrived after 6 p.m. due to traffic and found that there was no staff on site at that hour, which made check-in and issue resolution less convenient. During our stay, we unfortunately found a dead roach in our room. To the hotel’s credit, the team was responsive by text and kindly upgraded us to another room, which we appreciated. However, we later noticed another roach near the pool area. Overall, the property has a lot of appeal in terms of aesthetics, setting, and amenities, but the limited on-site staffing and cleanliness concerns affected the experience.

The grounds were absolutely stunning. They really stay true to the retro era of old Hollywood. It is definitely a great photo op space. The decorations in the room were absolutely stunning with a sizeable shower for the size of the room. Wish there were a TV and options for a hot breakfast. Rooms are a little small, but it's very fitting for a boutique hotel. Nothing I didn't like, but there is no one after 6 pm, so you check in digitally and are texted access instructions. It was very easy. If there were any issues, you would have to text them. I did not need any assistance.
