Stanford Motor Inn Palo Alto

The Staff was so kind and accommodating but to be honest the room was gross. It smelled musty, when I first walked in the room, I noticed a little something on the corner chair. I walked over quietly, afraid it was a big piece of rat poop, it might have been a stick or an old piece of food. The air was on and the temperature was comfortable, but the corners of the room were dirty, one of the tv remotes were super sticky even when I tried to clean it. The shower was moldy the floor boards dirty, and the white towels had random pieces of black lint on them. I rented there because I only needed to sleep there quickly over night before an operation, but next time I will spend the extra hundred to not be grossed out.

Friendly and very helpful reception. Convenient and comfortable stay for us at short notice. We will use this venue again.

The motel looked like a homeless camp. The door jam was broken ( obviously had been kicked in), the dead bolt didn’t work, the sheets were stained and there were odd stains throughout the room., the lamp was broken and the AC was extremely loud. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else. The worst experience I’ve ever had at a motel.

The pool was closed and is being permanently closed.

We loved everything, the fact that we were able to book same day, it was very inexpensive whoch was a huge relief for us and there was breakfast. During our travels our hotel canceled our reservation on our way there because we were going to pay in cash. We put a credit card down for incidentals and to hold the room but it didnt have the full room fee available and when they charged it at 9am and it declined then canceled our reservation. We felt stranded. After looking on bookings we found this small inn and it was a sign. We slept so good on the hard mattress and fluffy pillows and the shower was huge. There wasnt any grass or anywhere easy to take my service dog pee so we bad to take him down the street. Only a small inconvenience

The location The parking lot was filled with boxes which looked like cabinets, window and furniture for a remodel. The rooms definitely needs updating and new paint. The shower stall had fixtures falling off the wall. No elevators.

Super nostalgic if you’re looking for the Motor Inn vibe. Staff were super friendly and knowledgeable of the surrounding area. I loved the little hangout/dinning area with little snacks. Close to Stanford University and we were able to walk to our concert. Not that it was the right time to go swimming, but I wish the pool was full. Maybe some touch ups around the property and rooms.

It exceeded my expectations. It was clean and comfortable and the location was unbeatable. No problem with parking, helpful staff. I’d gladly stay there again.

All the staff were really friendly and helpful. The location was quiet, and I slept well throughout the night. However, some of the facilities need to be upgraded, such as windows, power outlets, and bedding. We also didn't feel comfortable that there was a smoking area next to our room, especially with a 10-year-old boy. Overall, I think this facility is great for a single business trip or a group without kids.

Staff was friendly but hotel is old and dated. Rooms reflect that as well. Fixtures in bathrooms were loose and didn't work great.

Very good

The hotel staff is excellent and tried hard to meet our needs. We needed a downstairs unit and they were happy to find one for us. We were only there for one night as we had to be at the hospital early the next morning so we didn’t eat breakfast the next day. The motel is old but our unit was clean, had a refrigerator and a microwave and was reasonable.
