I booked this room initially because online it said it came with a kitchen. Upon arrival, I was told that Expedia did not have me booked for that and apparently it was a one room by the road room. Also, my room was supposed to be a double room which it says on my itinerary I called Expedia. Château by the sea, said that they did not even have those rooms and they didn’t know what I was talking about. Expedia told me that I had a choice of purchasing another hotel room right now and to send them the receipt and that they would refund the difference I found another room. But Expedia has not reached out to me yet about my refund.

Room was old and very sandy. It was right on the beach which was nice. We were excited to learn they served food at the bar next to the pool, but they weren’t serving the day we stayed.

The parking is horrible! They rent the spaces out to other people that are not even staying at the hotel. Had to park my vehicle across the street due to parking spaces taking up by other people rent them. If we as customers are paying to rent a hotel room then we should have the rights over the parking spots before people parking to attend Harpoon Harry’s or to go shopping or rent a golf cart.

The coffee is the best I have had at a Hotel. LavAzza coffee is excellent. It is in the room and lobby. We would stay here again. Nice beach clear water. Only complaint was the weather, Bertha came through and couldn't get in water. Not Chateau's fault. Still had a great time. For Breakfast check out Classic American Diner, GREAT BUFFET!! Pier Park has a lot of food an shopping, Ford's Garage has great food.

This property was absolutely disgusting. There were water mold spots that had been covered up by paint, linens were stained and had hair on them. Along with the floor looking like it hadn’t been swept or mopped! And the staff was very hateful and not willing to help or accommodated. I am currently still waiting to have my refund go back to my card along with $100 hold fee for damages whenever we didn’t even check in and stay there.

The property was clean, room was clean, great beach access, staff was helpful and friendly. Walking distance to great restaurants. Will definitely stay here again.
