Chateau Beachfront Hotel, A By The Sea Resort

The door to our room was open when we got there mind you it’s 9:30 PM, the sheets were disgusting, and had stains and hair all over them. Housekeeping obviously never actually cleaned the roof. No extra locks to keep someone out if they wanted to break in. No hair dryer. Staff did not care about the door being open when we got there. They charged my card the day prior to check in, even though it was a pay at property reservation. Everywhere was sold out otherwise we would have left and stayed somewhere else.

The a/c didn't work properly it stayed 75 degrees in our room. They wouldn't move us to another room. There was sand all in the floor and on the counter when we got there, the toilet ran, the bathroom had hair in it and ants. The sheets sheets were dingy white..

Air-conditioned didn't blow hard nor cold had a water puddle under a/c inside room took them twice to come and clean the water off the floor, never had towels at the pool side . I'm not the one to complain but we won't stay there again I'll pay the litter extra money next time for a nice hotels

Very relaxing and great location with a gorgeous view

The room had a broken shower broken door handle but then there’s some rooms that are very nice and clean , feel as they should treat each room the same on how they welcome there customers.

We had an issue with our booking but they handled it amazingly!!! The manager was awesome!!!

The Chateau is right on the water. Its convenient to attractions, restaurants and shopping. The hotel was clean with refrigerator, microwave, and comfortable beds. We stayed four beautiful days for am excellent time. There was only one con, a slow water pressure. We would stay again in a heartbeat!

This place felt like a motel. The air conditioners are leaking on too of your head as you walk to your room. Patches in the ceilings and smells weird. My family left the hotel within 15 minutes of checking in our room.

Pool was amazing loved that it was beachfront so much you can walk too from the hotel will definitely come back and stay again !!

At footsteps to the ocean

Room was clean & efficient. Location was amazing on the beach. Only thing I would recommend is some type of rug by the beds or at the doorway. And maybe a small loveseat/couch instead of a single chair for a room with 2 beds so guests can sit to watch tv instead of sitting on the beds. Parking was pretty tough but still wouldn’t affect my rating!

Nice budget friendly place to stay. Easy parking and don’t have to deal with elevator madness! Lots of great places in walking distance. Super convenient easy access to the beach

When we arrived on the 27th around 4:30, we walked into an uncleaned room. It had dirty towels on the floor, dirty beds and garbage. We had to wait about an hour for the room to be cleaned. The manager did give us two free drink vouchers for the tiki bar. The sheets on our bed were too small, coming off and VERY rough. I could see the dirty mattress protector on the entire side of the mattress because the sheet did not fit. The second night I noticed what appeared to be mold on the end of our blanket. I asked the girl at the front desk on the first night if we could have an extra blanket and sheet for the pull-out couch; she hardly looked up from her phone and we never got the extra linens. We also had asked her for extra towels and did not get those. I approached the cleaning staff at the pool and he brought some to me. We booked a Gulf view double queen suite without the kitchen so we could have the additional “living room”. The fabric couch had what appeared to be mold spots and the pull out bed was unusable. The bathroom and “kitchen area” were clean. We loved that it was a smaller hotel and did not have to use elevators, and a very short walk to the beach. Had the staff been more helpful and our bed more clean/comfortable we would return.

Dont waste your money

Absolutely horrible. Will never stay here again. I paid for the stay and my bank would not approve the 100 deposit they made me wait 3 hours to check in until I could figure out how to pay it and they would not take cash. I extended the stay by one day they made me check out and wait til 4 to check back in. I had to throw away food. The rooms were disguising. They also over charge.

The front desk staff was very helpful, the room was clean and great atmosphere at the pool. I just wish the parking lot wasn't a paid to park because even though we had free parking for having reservations it doesn't feel fair that we should park across the street.

Checking in at the front desk started out well with one lady and then I had to go to a different lady. She was very rude. Very unhelpful. They make it hard and complicated to check in because you have to do all this stuff on the tablet and then they have do some more on the computer then you have to use your phone for the pay parking. It is free if a guest. But a unnecessary step we have to do.and They have a lot of hidden fees that you're not aware of .Checked out this morning same rude . The beds were bad they needed new mattresses they were broke down and you couldn't move without a cracking and popping . Taking a shower the water backed up into the bathroom sink.I Let the lady know today and she acted like it was my fault. Pool was nice. Outside of the area was nice. Our room was good and clean other than the beds being bad and the sink backing up it's nice that you can just walk to the beach from the pool also
