Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Paramus

Unclean and strong, unpleasant, musty permeated the lobby, hallways, and room. Poor quality breakfast food.

breakfast overall sub par compared to other similar - Hampton Inn, Embassy, etc - scrambled eggs must have been powdered - awful, couldn't eat them, sausage limp and flavorless, oatmeal watery, also inedible, no fresh fruit except bananas.

Decent stay for a night. Seems overpriced, but I guess that’s what being in North Jersey near NYC gets you. Basic mini gym for a basic workout. Staff were helpful. 2.5 - 3 star hotel so it’s hard to expect much, but that’s why it seems overpriced. Breakfast was basic, but included. One thing that was frightening is they don’t have silverware and they have absolutely everyone using plastic forks, spoons and knives as well as paper plates. Total disregard for the environment which is common in the US, but unacceptable in 2026 from a Marriott property. Also not really walkable to anything other than the mall and the attached restaurant.

I would book a stay here...everytime I visit New Jersey...great place to lodge i highly recommend it 12 stars out of 10.

Booked a king room and got two queens and the room smelled like stale smoke!! Grossed me out so didn’t sleep well all night!!!! Won’t go back.

I liked the breakfast even though it was a basic menu. I liked how there were options beyond bagels, cereal, and waffles. More fruit, juices, and sandwiches.

The room was quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was adequate. The staff were very friendly and helpful Breakfast could have offered a few more items such as: fresh fruit in addition to the apples, hardboiled eggs.

The room was clean. The breakfast was fair. The staff was polite.

I like the fairfield inn because it is on the smaller side and is very conveniently located to get around NJ and into NYC.

Long story short, we were relocated to a suite with only one bed, which forced me to sleep on the sofa bed. Unfortunately, the sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable: the mattress was very thin and uneven, and the bed frame itself was unlevelled, causing me to constantly slide to one side throughout the night. I barely slept. Bonus: the sofa-bed was filthy and severely stained. I asked if we could be accommodated in a room with two beds or in two separate rooms, but the request was denied. I was told this policy was stated in the fine print and that they would not open an additional room for us. The following day, I requested once again to be moved to the room type I had originally booked. As a result, we had to pack and unpack all of our belongings again, which was both frustrating and a waste of valuable vacation time. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend booking this property through Booking.com or other third-party websites if you expect your room reservation details to be honored.

The location was perfect for my trip. I was visiting my Sister in Montvale and a friend in Fair Lawn. So perfect! No complaints - I have stayed at this hotel before with my husband and we never have a problem there.
