Hyland Inn Pasadena Civic Auditorium

Passable

This hotel is fairly clean. The pillows were hard - I mean - my ear hurt in the morning - kind of hard. The double room had two double beds instead of queen beds, which meant I slept on about 6 inches of bed. There were no towel racks for your shower towels. There was a closet rod that was unlevel and there were no hangers provided (who packs hangers?!?). There was no iron and ironing board in the room like most hotels. We are a family of three and only two towels were provided. Although clean, the towels were small and not so soft. We checked out early - 6 days ago - and we still have not been refunded per their policy for the nights we didn't stay despite the third party booking.com reaching out to them multiple times. Don't understand how there were so many other good review - I'm not a particularly picky person.

The hotel is located on a lovely green street. Just a few minutes' walk away you'll find not only cafés and restaurants, but also a huge Vons supermarket. By the way, Vons sells hot ready-made meals and lots of food you can heat up in the microwave, which the room has, along with a fridge. So even though we came without a car and used taxis, we had no trouble at all with meals. The room was very clean and pleasant, and we were happy to spend three nights here. It's also quite close to two museums we wanted to visit. ️ Thank you! -

Great hotel with a very convenient location and free parking available. The room was very clean and incredibly spacious, with plenty of room to feel comfortable. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it!

Now my go-to place to stay!!

Room didn't have enough small towels for 4 people and when we asked staff, he said he doesn't have access to it. Turning on A/C gave strong nasty sweat smell, which was not breathable so we couldn't switch on. Overall it was hot, nasty and not breathable night. Next day, they gave us new room(107). That room's bathroom was okay. But A/C had same sweat smell as we turned on.

The room was clean and the staff was nice. The air conditioner definitely sounded like it could use some maintenance. The bed was a little uncomfortable. This was a great place for us to stay at four universal studios plans. Was only 30 minute's minutes away.

Free parking which was close proximity to the room. Clean room with amenities like fridge, coffee machine and microwave which was great for left overs from dinner and reheat in the AM. Service was quick and efficient

Hotel is located near markets and other business, I had forgotten to pack a few items and was saved. All stores are walking distance.

The TV never worked. It appeared new. It had a non-compatible remote. I went to the front desk around 10:40 PM. The front desk said that the remotes get stolen. So why didn't he offer a different room? Seems a bit unprofessional to me. He didn't know how to handle the situation. I feel sorry for the hotel because the floor is coming loose. It seems that they used cheap glue down plastic tiles. For the price it is worth it. I'm looking for a motel I can use for whenever I come into town. We'll see how this place respond to our email. It appears as though they recently remodeled the place. Looks nice on the outside.

Superb

The room was very clean. The amenities were good for the price we paid. We really liked the bathtub. We could have used more stuff to hang clothes, but that's a minor thing. The room was well maintained and clean.
