Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Peoria North, IL

Did not get a chance to eat breakfast, but looked good. Every thing was good, but room and property looks “tired”, needs a little updating.

Mediocre hotel at best. Not in good repair, rooms smelled musty, sink had cracks in it, water stains up the walls in bathroom. No streaming on TV, stuck with a few crap channels. Just sort of run down, needs updated. Seems like a hotel that the owners are milking it for all its worth and not doing repairs. Friendly staff, breakfast was standard low-end hotel fare. Nothing special. Seemed clean, but hard to tell, to be honest. I personally wouldn't stay there again.

The rooms smelled like mold & mildew. There was no empathy relating to my poor experience & the smell of the room causing migraines. Also was charged for everything while I complained about being unsatisfied with our stay & checked out early.

Quiet. Not very clean. Bed squeaked.

Showed up late to check in. Had our suite ready per night worker and checked in. Went to suite opened door and almost gagged from the smell of bleach. Apparently the night before guests were thrown out of this room for smoking weed. There were no more like suites left due to caterpillar convention. Won't be back. Read previous notes.

Very good

The rooms are clean & well maintained. We had a sitting area in our room & the furniture was comfortable. Bed was also comfortable.

One of the best mid budget hotels I’ve ever stayed in

This hotel couldn’t be more than 11 years old but has not been maintained. We were told it has been bought by another franchise (Marriott?) and is due for renovation in a year. I suggest waiting to stay here until that happens!

The halls were way to strong smelling with an odor fighting mist. The room had an awful smell to it. The carpets going up to second floor were so dirty, room carpets were filthy. Beds were comfortable. I can say they had a good breakfast with a large assortment.

The location was perfect for me. Check in attendant was very helpful. The room was good sized but it has a lot of wear and tear. The mirror hanging on the bathroom door needed cleaned. The attendant at checkout didn't want to give me a printed receipt.

The beds are very uncomfortable, there was a strong chemical smell, dirt in the corners of the walls, the pillows were so flat; we all woke up with a stiff neck, they need more people working the breakfast or cooking. Couldn't keep up with filling anything.

Exceptional

Front desk manager was very nice and helpful. The hotel was full of girls' sports teams, but all of the guests were quiet and nice and cleaned up after themselves. The hotel room was absolutely filthy. We went to a nearby HyVee and bought cleaning supplies for the bathroom and countertops and mirrors. It was revolting. Breakfast was decimated by a girls' sports team before we had a chance to try it. The filthy room was actually our second room. The first one was not habitable because an ozone generator was running in it because the last guest had been smoking in the room. The lobby and hallways were very dirty and poorly maintained-- chipped paint, stained carpet, etc.

Well priced

Overall, it was clean and certainly adequate for our needs. I have to say the bed was very comfortable, and we had a good night's sleep. I would stay there again without hesitation. There were little things about the room, and only some of them can be easily fixed. The coffee pot in the room was minus a piece so it would not work, but there was coffee in the lobby just outside the breakfast room. The hard thing to fix is that the floor in the bathtub was slick enough to earn extra caution. I would rate this motel in the top 10 % of the motels we have stayed in.
