Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Pharr by IHG

Booked a room with a jetted tub, asked the front desk worker to check the tub because I didn’t think it worked. She never came.

Good place to stay. Tractor trailer parking. No charging ports for phone.

The hotel is old. The staff is very helpful. Breakfast if you go eat after 8:30 am on the weekend there is pretty much just some coffee and eggs. The room felt and smell humidity. The AC didn’t keep the room cool enough.

Breakfast wasn’t great. The incidental charge for one night was the same as what we paid for the night. The keys to the room didn’t work twice. The tv and phone didn’t work. The clock wasn’t set. We were finally moved to another room. Was not a good experience this time. Disappointed.

I stayed for 4 nights and only stayed be day my room was serviced to be cleaned. They were very short staffed and claimed that that had difficulty getting and retaining staff to service the rooms.

Front desk clerk was really helpful, facility and room very clean.

The room was a decent size with lots of empty space. Breakfast had limited choices. Gym was useful for a quick small workout. But cardio equipment could be updated.

Good place to stay online for a couple of days, Tv and a bunch of furniture are all out of date. Need a big upgrade.

The staff was nice and the rooms were large and clean. Breakfast was great each day we stayed. Would definitely recommend this location.

First, found small flat screen television about the size of a desk top computer. They did offer to change it, but why wouldn’t they have changed it to the larger size or standard size that is usually provided for a room that you are paying over $100 a night, before guest arrival and complaint. Secondly, the water had moments of foul odor, that both myself and my daughter noted. Two different front desk staff members denied that any other guests had ever made complaints about the water. I guess we both were just imagining the odor.
