There's no staff, but you get plenty of information prior to your stay. Shower is tiny, but stocked with soaps in case needed (bring your own). Overall quiet and pleasant stay. I recommend for a week or more since kitchenette and mini fridge are included.

An ideal spot for single, twenty to middle aged traveler not interested in exterior aesthetics and traveling on a budget. It's an out of the way location in the heart of north Philly but blends in so well with the neighborhood, you'd never believe the quality of it's interior and security. Parking is typical inner city. Set your vanity aside and enjoy it with an open mind.

Once you ignore the surrounding and actually get into the property, it feels safe with all the locks and very clean. As a traveller l would expect washing up liquid for the dishes and paper / dish towels to clean your crockery and pots. There was facilities for body wash, shampoo and conditioner however the body wash was empty. I will suggest regular checks be done by whoever is servicing the rooms. A small bin in the shower room would good as l felt uncomfortable using the kitchenette bin for hygienic items. The sheets were ok however they were not ironed which made it look shabby which is a shame. The use of white linen is a great idea but will suggest the duvet be white as well as the dark one inside the white cover made the covers look unclean which they were not. There was a fan and l think what looks like a heater on the ceiling but just couldn't get the ceiling one to work. The fan was fine. Towels wear new, shower room was very clean. I would recommend a bedside table to make life easy .

Unfortunately, when I entered the room, it was unbearably hot—comparable to the outdoor temperature earlier that day. I adjusted the air conditioning and waited an hour for the room to cool down. Though I could occasionally feel what seemed like slightly cooler air from the unit, the room temperature remained unchanged. The room itself was quite small (which I expected based on the listing), making the lack of cooling surprising. A space of that size should not have taken that long to reach a comfortable temperature if the air conditioning were functioning properly. After waiting an hour in the heat, it became clear that I would not be able to sleep comfortably. Because I had important commitments the following day and needed a good night's rest, I was forced to book a room at another hotel late at night, creating significant inconvenience and additional expense. Afterward, I contacted the property to request a partial refund due to the uninhabitable conditions, but my request was denied. A hotel room's most basic function is to provide a safe and comfortable place to sleep. This room failed to meet that standard, and the property's unwillingness to acknowledge the issue or offer any accommodation left me very disappointed.

Cockroach infested apartment I had a booking for 5 days but I left after 13 hours because the building had very poor ac system-my body was overheating in the Philadelphia heat. Poor condition, very dangerous neighborhood you cannot walk here after sunset or even during the day. Huge mistake… I’m currently disputing charges to get my money back. The host wasn’t responsive at all after showing him proof of cockroaches in building. They ask for a deposit outside of the hotel.com app also which goes against the rules for hotels.com. I had to fight for that deposit back. The pictures are taken at angles to make the rooms look bigger but they are only sufficient for 1 person barely. Very very poor experience.

everything was good no worries

They scam you. They cancelled my booking an hour before I was supposed to check in. They asked for a deposit via Cashapp don’t do it. After they canceled my reservation they stated to Expedia that I had indeed stayed and would refuse to refund my money. Not a trust worthy place and I’m surprise Expedia doesn’t remove them from their site.

Unfortunately, I paid for a hotel here and was left stranded without a code to get into the property. My booking was canceled without written confirmation or heads up until I was physically at the property and had to call a number because there was no front desk staff. I was unable to be refunded or placed in a different hotel. The hurdles and stress to try to remedy this breakdown of communication between the main website and hotel was a souring experience, and I would not recommend. I contacted the third-party hotel several times to understand why their correspondence of canceling my hotel was never notified on the website portal where they posted the listing was never sent at any point. Ultimately, I was still not refunded and the booking was not ever formally "canceled" on the main website. The third-party hotel said that they do not receive messages sent back to them on the hotels.com website, which was confusing because they were still sending me correspondence on the platform about incidental fees, parking options, and check out. I also was messaged to send funds to a CashApp account, which did not seem appropriate for a hotel booking. Beware of booking with this place.

Easy access and quiet property. Affordable rates as well.
-
It was a studio style room with a Very small bathroom. I was given 1/2roll of toilet paper 1 small towel, no was cloth for 2days stay. Neighborhood was less than favorable.
-
The self-checkin and checkout processes are very straightforward. The room is clean.

Please read this entire review (as I wish I had known this before booking); I had understood from other reviews that this apartment would be basic and small, so I brought essentials. It was generally clean, but smelled of old cigarette smoke like a dated motel room and the air conditioning was not working (no remote to be found even though this was the response we got from management.) This made the stay unpleasant, but what was most concerning was the neighborhood. I did not feel safe walking around this neighborhood, particularly at night. What I saved on accommodation, I spent on Ubers because walking to a bus stop passed by vacant lots, abandoned buildings and people shouting at each other. Two of my uber drivers cautioned me to “be safe out there.” I would not recommend staying here. Communication with management was inconsistent, I got answers for some things, and not for others. Even the things I got responses on, it wasn’t overly helpful or accurate

The check-in process was completely contactless, which was smooth and easy. There were keyless room entries and remote customer service assistance available if needed, which added a modern touch to the experience. One thing to keep in mind is that there’s no private parking available, so guests have to rely on street parking along a fairly narrow street, which can be a little inconvenient depending on the time of day. The other downside was the surrounding area. While the hotel itself felt safe and comfortable inside, it’s located in a noticeably impoverished neighborhood with several vacant properties nearby. That may be something to consider depending on your comfort level and travel needs. Overall though, the actual hotel experience exceeded my expectations.”

I never received any link to register in advance of my stay. I got multiple emails on the hotels.com platform to the effect that the policies for receiving a refund on the mandatory $200 security deposit were very strict. But the only pathway they offered to pay the deposit was Cash App, which I don't use. The emails explaining the Cash App payment were confusing and filled with writing errors. Before I arrived, I never received any contact information on how to communicate with anyone at the property directly. I arrived at the property within the window I said I would be there, but hadn't received any access codes or any way to contact the property managers directly. So I made other arrangements. After I made sure I actually had a place to stay and asked for a refund, I finally received the access codes. But by then it was too late. And I haven't received any response to - or any acknowledgement of - my request for a refund. I was up for something different, but this was just a disaster.

I did not complete check-in or stay at this property due to concerns that arose before arrival. After my booking was confirmed, the property sent multiple additional rules and restrictions, including references to forfeiture of an incidental/security fee. The property also required a $200 refundable security deposit through Venmo, outside the Hotels.com payment system. This was especially concerning because Hotels.com’s own reservation emails warn guests not to make electronic payments outside the platform. Before check-in, I also found recent public reviews describing similar concerns involving misrepresentation and difficulty recovering deposits. Because of the post-booking requirements, off-platform payment process, and lack of confidence in the deposit/refund process, I did not feel comfortable staying at the property. This was not a normal cancellation or a disagreement over the listed price. It was a trust and payment-integrity issue before check-in.
-
Very straightforward. Pretty good for the price. Can’t complain.
-
The place was way too small pictures were strategically taken to make it look a certain way and it wasn't even close
-
There was no AC, we had to put it in ourselves. The sheets were disgusting, and the communication with my check-in info was nonexistent.
-
The room was very nice. Bed was comfortable.
