I love historic properties. While several different decades are represented, it worked well together. The space was huge. The closet was triple the size of most hotels which is good for long term stays. The Beekman toiletries were nice. There was a communal microwave and toaster in the basement which is fine. I don’t prefer my sleeping accommodation to smell like food. The staff was very friendly. Parking was limited but well marked. If you like a pillow soft bed you will love your sleep here. It was reasonably priced. The AC was portable so could be loud but the white noise put me to sleep so no complaints.

I expected higher rates over July 4th, but the lack of amenities and condition of the room qualified this stay as pure price gouging. In over 100 degree heat there was no water available in the hotel, not even for purchase. The bathroom had pealing paint and the room had peeling wallpaper. There was no surface or counter to place toiletries on, and the small soap provided fell into the sink due to lack of a spot to put it.

The hotel is really good, located in the middle of Temple University, bus connections on either side. The bed is very soft and comfortable, the room is spacious (bathroom is a little small). The aircon is quite old and is sort of unconventional. Breakfast isn’t provided but there is a cafe within the same building. Additionally, if you scan the QR code in your room you’ll find a list of recommendations; very handy. The reception provides complimentary bottles of water, you just have to ask them. Wifi is good, on day one it kept dropping out but after that it was good. The biggest annoyance I had was the fact that on Expedia it says that laundry service was provided, and so I had organised my itinerary based on that, however it was not offered. Also for some reason there is a lot of light outside the room (probably from the university lights) the block out curtains take out most of it but still quite a lot of light comes through, plus you can hear people talking in the hallway when you’re in your room. Other than those few little things, it’s a decent hotel.

Only stayed one night just passing. The place was nice and cozy. Only problem with me was is was last and the ice machine was in the basement. Yes I KNOW BUT....., We seen rats around the outside.

This was the cutest inn with the most helpful staff. I highly recommend staying here. Just be aware that it was difficult to find their parking lot since it is nestled inside Temple University. Just call and they will give excellent directions. The GM was great and so were all the staff members. It’s also located next to campus security. It felt so safe and was within walking distance to the metro and dining options.

Clean room, but showing signs of age. Really nice staff both at check-in and checkout. Relatively close to downtown.

room was large , bathroom with bath , large bed , which was super comfortable ! Close to 7/11 and pizza shop with pub next door !! Workers outside at 6 am ! Not hotel’s fault they weren’t informed !

Clean room

Room had some blood stains on the carpet. There were stairs into the room which was odd, and the queen bed was a double. Also the sink has zero counter space, like the bar of soap falls into the sink. Other than that perfect.

Location was fabulous Basic and no staff at counter

MAY 2026 - The only thing comforting was the bed. Bc of the roots picnic festival everything was sold out other places or else I would've stayed else where. The pictures online are VERY deceiving. I wish I took more pics in the room to show proof. This hotel is in a nice community on college grounds. Safe and fairly close to food choices. However the pics online are VERY deceiving. THIS PLACE IS VERY DATED. room 204 ... carpet is brown and old, no refrigerator to keep drinks cool , toilet bowl had a hard BROWN stain/ring, no bathroom counter for getting ready, tub needed to be clean, there is no in room phone to call the receptionist, PARKING IS NOT FREE it's $20 per day. AC/heat was broke so it's extremely hot in the room on the hot day last week during my stay. I was so ANNOYED. Receptionist was nice but didn't help any of my problems stated. Closet doors were falling off as well. Size is decent and bed was comfortable but I carry my own sheets when away and I had to Lysol the room myself to feel comfortable bc everything in the area was sold out. My friend stayed here separately and she chose this place . This was a lesson learned . Please find a better place to stay . I just needed something decent for roots picnic and this wasn't it. I paid $400 for 2 nights and they didn't deserve that all. I had to go to my car for cleaning products bc I felt the room was not up to par. The iron was dated and knobs were rubbed off so I didn't know what level was what. This place desperately needs a update.

We loved being on campus at Temple University! It was such a good location and so cool

Nice room, excellent location

I booked for my daughter’s graduation from Temple Law — I wanted the closest as possible in case it was 100 degrees. It was chilly and rainy AF so it was perfect and convenient. Not at all fancy but affordable and what you need. Staff were great.

We enjoy staying at the Conwell Inn because it is comfortable, quiet, well maintained and has a good location. The staff is always pleasant and helpful.
-
It was close to the Temple Hospital. It was very difficult to find the location even with directions from the Desk Manager. Finding a parking space was also difficult although eventually we found the lot.
-
We had a tasty light breakfast at Saxby’s. The one window would not close fully due to warping.
