Homewood Suites by Hilton Philadelphia-City Avenue

Complimentary breakfast was wonderful. Everything was well prepared and hot. The only thing that was average was the bed, pillows and linens. In total, an outstanding value. I’ll be back next year!

The decor in the lobby and rooms was beautiful. The staff was very welcoming, and the breakfast was very good. The bathroom did not meet the standard I am used to at this location. The toilet was running constantly, the showerhead was leaking, and the shower and sink area were not very clean—with rust buildup and a little mold around the shower. I know they clean every day, and it is a hotel policy; maybe cleaning should be done every day to keep everything in the best possible working order.

The quietness, room layout. I would like a shower that has adequate water pressure and temperature. The hot water wasn't hot; it was lukewarm. Also, the blinds were broken, and I couldn't close them. I would prefer laminate or wood flooring, as the carpet holds dirt, dust, and organisms.

This hotel is amazing. It was clean and it smelled good even the “dog room”. The staff was polite and friendly. Would book again

Our room was in need of repair: the toilet ran all the time-had to jiggle the handle constantly. The room needs a refresh for sure: tile work as shower meets the floor, toilet paper hanger was installed in an upright awkward position, we assume because of limited wall space. The complementary breakfast was chaotic: no silverware at multiple times, serving spoons for eggs were tongs you would use for toast or breakfast meats, coffee urns, we were told were full, turned out to be broken, and said coffee wasn’t obtainable. We expected more of a Hilton property.

This is a pretty decent hotel. There were some issues reported about the power going out for a day which turned off the elevators. Ppl had to walk up & downstairs. There was no ice in the ice machines on each floor. There weren't enough dishes, silverware, cup & glasses in our room. But overall, for the money, you can't get as economical as this place. The bed was sooo comfortable and the hot water was fantastic. The breakfast was great each morning and the staff were just excellent. We would stay at Homewood Suites again.

Staff was very nice and helpful considering there was a power outage that affected the use of the elevators making them inoperable. We were on the 9th floor, had to use the stairs for our first full day. Breakfast was terrible. Housekeeping was terrible, only can to the room one day our of 4, and only left new towels, did not tidy up the room or make the bed.

alarms all night disturbed us , room was not clean, bins not lined, restorrom horrible

My family and I stayed at the Poetry house, it was great. The apartment is a bit small, the bathroom is very small but we made it work. The location was the best part of the whole experience. Short walk to everything. Great restaurants, supermarkets. Overall the stay was good even with or 4 years old son.

Only one elevator and parking sucked but overall I love my stay.

Comfortable bed, big room. Only one elevator!!! Very difficult to control shower water temperature—scalding hot was all one could get without a lot of experimenting. Valve needs to be replaced. The first room I was given had trash in the toilet and it did not flush, so I was moved.

Our room was not stocked w shower gel conditioner or lotion. When I informed front desk they didn’t seem to care.

The hotel is okay, you can definitely see the difference between the floors and one side of the hotel compared to the other side. One of my pillows had a brown stain on it which worried me and the windows should have been cleaned better as you could tell someone was there with tape still stuck on the frame from previous guests. I understand every room has guests but I shouldn't be able to tell.

The restaurant seemed understaffed at times.

Lovely hotel! Everything was extremely clean and the staff was super helpful.
