Homewood Suites by Hilton Philadelphia-City Avenue

The proximity to my family. Both my mom and I are disabled and it was difficult walking to park so far away from the building. They need to provide valet parking like they have for the Hilton.

Breakfast was good, but see below. Breakfast items likes scrambled eggs and sausage were not hot unless we got them early. The covered containers were not heated. Drawer in the bathroom needed to be properly repaired.

I had an issue with the duvet on my bed not being clean. I spoke with the front desk and sent a text message and it was resolved. Thank you.

Parking can be a bit challenging, but if you snag a spot on the street like we did, you won’t have to pay for parking. Staff was friendly and helpful from the time we checked in to when we checked out. The room was clean and very comfortable for our romantic getaway. We had everything we needed. I especially loved that it had a kitchen with a full size refrigerator. The breakfast area was nice and clean with plenty of seating. They had diverse food options, and this was great because my husband doesn’t eat pork or eggs, while I enjoy a typical breakfast. We will absolutely be staying here again.

Great experience

Foul urine smell throughout hotel and room, very outdated, ac/heater very old and did not always worked, pillows and sheet tinted brown dust everywhere, ac vent and bathroom vent thick layer dirt and dust, shower randomly is ice cold, sticky carpet in room, holes in curtains, mold mildew build up in the shower. Very uncomfortable stay

You need to explain the parking situation better.

When we first came in all the staff was hospitable. India was working the front desk. She asked if she could store our bags while our room was getting ready. She was so kind and friendly. She gave us the best welcome which set the tone for our stay In my room the heat was on 75 degrees and I could not change it no matter how much I tried. I didn’t complain because I figured the alternative was to change rooms and I liked the space I had. Also the shower dripped onto a metal plate which I ended up putting a wash cloth down to muffle the “pinging” sound it made all night.

The fitness center is not kept well and is in the Hilton next door. The staff is VERY friendly.

Complimentary breakfast was wonderful. Everything was well prepared and hot. The only thing that was average was the bed, pillows and linens. In total, an outstanding value. I’ll be back next year!

The decor in the lobby and rooms was beautiful. The staff was very welcoming, and the breakfast was very good. The bathroom did not meet the standard I am used to at this location. The toilet was running constantly, the showerhead was leaking, and the shower and sink area were not very clean—with rust buildup and a little mold around the shower. I know they clean every day, and it is a hotel policy; maybe cleaning should be done every day to keep everything in the best possible working order.
