The Study at University City

The location near Drexel University was excellent. We really liked the lobby, which is spacious with comfortable seating and work areas. The Co Op restaurant offers a great selection of dinner and breakfast choices. The food was great and the staff very friendly and helpful. We had a king size room, which was clean and the size was appropriate. The bed was comfortable but the furniture was quite simple and clearly dated and had a used feeling to it. The air conditioning worked but the air felt clammy and uncomfortably sticky. The WIfi did not work in the room and the staff did not inform us about that when we checked in. There was no available parking, except for valet parking for over $ 50 dollars per day and the next public parking structure was almost as expensive. Although the dining and breakfast experience was very god, everything was overpriced.

The physical hotel itself and hoe clean it was. I had such a great time, that I bought a robe; but the staff gave me the robe without a tie. When I emailed them to mail me the missing tie, they ignored me and never fixed their mistake.

Our room was incredible! It even had its own library/study area with gorgeous views. The bathroom layout was stunning! The only downfall to the hotel was the lack of any ice machines in the hotel. When trying to fill up our waters for a long card drive, there was not a single ice machine, so we had to go to Starbucks nearby to get ice. Other than that small inconvenience, this hotel far exceeded our expectations.

Nice room good location No fridge

The front office staff is incredible. Special thanks to Patrick and Claire who worked hard to accommodate us. Sebastian was always so friendly and very helpful. Valet parking Fernando was exceptionally helpful when we arrived and always acknowledged us when he saw us. Housekeeping did a good job. However, in my opinion, they should be done cleaning rooms earlier in the day rather than 3-4 pm when guests are returning to their rooms. Also, guest requests should be answered promptly.

We had a last minute need in Philly and they had great reviews. They did not disappoint! Very clean, breakfast was great, staff was friendly!
