The Study at University City

The room was exceptionally clean, spacious, and comfortable. Everything was well maintained, and the room felt fresh and inviting. I had a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Very convenient location.

This was a terrific option in the University City area of Philadelphia. Not only was it very central and easy to access but the hotel itself was great. The lobby area was very inviting (the opposite of most lobbies); the room was very clean and comfortable; and the attached restaurant was both convenient and fairly good. The staff were great (accommodated some requests easily). Highly recommend, and if we’re back in the area, we will stay there again.

The room was clean and well appointed. The staff was very helpful. We had an excellent breakfast in the restaurant in the morning.

It was so pretty, comfy, and stylish with a great staff and lovely restaurant!! The location was perfect! The beds so comfy. Gorgeous lobby, lovely rooms. Everything was great!! Nothing! It was great!

Very clean and everything in working order. Front desk staff INCREDIBLY attentive and nice; one man went to the restaurant to get me a bucket of ice and offered to go get me a breakfast menu. When I checked in they accommodated me with a room facing away from the busy street. Self park 2 blocks away which is half the price of the hotel valet. The lady at the desk even told me how to get there!

From start to finish an A+ experience. Check in quick and helpful. Room large, clean, well appointed. Lovely shower. Towels fluffy and ample. Lovely all around 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Room was clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced. Staff was excellent. Parking situation was a little dicey.

I stayed two nights starting Sep 13 for work at UPenn. The staff must be utterly exhausted from avoiding basic hospitality duties. At breakfast, the server greeted others with warm smiles, but gave me an icy poker face—perhaps because I was the only Asian man in the room. Leaving no DND sign, I went to work. At 10:30 AM, I briefly returned to grab tools. A housekeeper asked if I was checking out; I clearly said "No." I worked without lunch until 4:00 PM. Returning exhausted, my room was untouched. I informed the front desk, who promised immediate action. To give them time, I ate across the street. 1.5 hours later, the room was still untouched—no clean towels, unmade bed. I had to report it a second time and wait in the lobby with my laptop. An hour later, it was finally "cleaned," but terribly rushed: water stains on the sink, messy towels, and sheets clearly just pulled over without being changed. At checkout the next morning, not a single person acknowledged the delay or apologized. If you are visiting UPenn for demanding work, be warned: the staff is far too busy to provide standard housekeeping, let alone basic courtesy. Unacceptable for the price.

The view from the premium room was spectacular. We had three big windows looking at the sun setting on interesting skyscrapers in central Philly and it was quite a show. The books were cool too
