Oxford Suites Pismo Beach

Our floor had stuff stuck to carpet in room by trash can. Thinking about room allowing pets but only have carpet is a let down. Great serve breakfast but family thought wasn’t cooked well Like it was in the past. Was good got sleeping but could use more blankets for the pull out couch.

This hotel was our favorite spot to stay while visiting SLO and surrounding areas. But this time we stood in a room right above pool area that was not to clean and very noisy. The shower was not cleaned and had drainage problems. TV had connection problems and only showed certain channels. The breakfast was always good, and happy hour is an extra treat to a long day of sightseeing. Not sure if the hotel is cutting down on cleaning staff or not.

Oxford Suits is always a great place to stay. It is a clean well maintained property. The staff is always friendly. Also a great location right off the freeway and 5 mins from Pismo’s pier.

I paid a little under $500 for one night, and for that price I kind of expected a more relaxing stay. It wasn't the cost that shaped my expectations - I've had much better experiences at more modest hotels. After driving ~5 hours from the Palm Springs area, my family and I were excited to be able to relax and unwind.. unfortunately it was a very restless night for all of us. The biggest issue for me was the noise. There were children yelling and dogs barking in the courtyard throughout the night; I have two children of my own, so I appreciate family-friendly hotels that accommodate them and do not fault families for enjoying themselves, however the noise was excessive and there were no staff enforcing the signs posted for quiet hours. The room itself was organized- but there was a lingering cigarette smell, extra linens that smelled even more strongly of smoke, and spiderwebs hanging on the lamps, making it feel unclean (there were also no-smoking signs posted). On a more positive note - the staff was extremely friendly. The hotel also offers a complimentary drink and breakfast for each night of your stay. Location was also very convenient! I genuinely hope that my experience was a rare off night and doesn't reflect what a typical stay is like. My stay here fell short of my expectations, so I don't think I'll be booking here again.
