The Cliffs Hotel and Spa is located on a cliff overlooking Shell Beach. The hotel offers a full-service spa, an oceanfront outdoor swimming pool and a balcony in every guest room. The Cliffs Hotel and Spa features a 42-inch flat-screen TV, a coffee machine, and a work desk. Guests at the Cliffs can use the hot tub or the sauna but please note from 7-10pm, it is adults only. A 24-hour gym with modern cardiovascular and weight training equipment is also available. Marisol restaurant at The Cliffs offers Latin cuisine, indoor and outdoor seating, and live entertainment. Room service is also available. Upon request, a free shuttle service is provided to the San Luis Regional Airport and Amtrak Station. Pismo Dunes Natural Preserve and Pismo State Beach are within a 20-minute drive of the hotel.

The location is amazing. People arguing in the hall after midnight and other people in the floor above us playing musical chairs after 1:00 am. Had a late dinner, just prior to closing . Food was good not great . All items ordered served at same time . Not stre if we would return.

The facilities are lovely and well maintained. The view of course is outstanding. The grounds are beautiful. We loved sitting out on the lawn with the ocean view. The staff was friendly, welcoming and service oriented. The partial ocean view from our room was actually a really great view of the ocean. The room is very nice with good furniture and felt very clean. Our next door neighbors were partying the entire time. The were loud, obnoxious, played very loud music, argued in the room and out in the hallway in the middle of the night. I called down to the desk to complain at 2:00 AM and the noise did not stop. This is behavior you would expect from a Carnival Cruise or a spring break motel not an upscale, luxury hotel. It ruined the experience for us even though everything else was lovely. We couldn't enjoy the balcony with the beautiful view and ocean sounds due to their loud music, loud voices and partying.

Very clean, staff was very friendly. Our room was cleaned and stocked with everything, including fresh towels, daily! Great location with easy Beach access!

The location and view of the sunset was spectacular. Ocean view rooms opened up before our arrival and management was able to accommodate our request for a direct ocean view. The sounds of the spa were relaxing and we were happily surprised by the glowing firepits on the oceanfront lawn. Guests and staff were welcoming and friendly and the Marisol restaurant was delicious. 5 stars! Closer parking if valet wasn’t desired would be nice but this was a small thing considering how wonderful our stay was.
