Great breakfast, large rooms, view with spectacular

The view was breathtaking, and the bed was comfortable. The staff, especially Silvia, were attentive and professional. I was there to attend a wedding. Upon arriving, everything looked clean and organized. However, once I opened the closet door, I found ants roaming around the iron steamer; they had managed to get inside it, and the steamer was completely infested. I took the iron out of the room and started cleaning the ants off the closet walls, which was incredibly uncomfortable and annoying. I let the front desk know, and they brought me a new iron. The 2nd night, I found ants crawling all over my toiletries and makeup bags in the bathroom. I cleaned everything up, but I felt extremely uncomfortable. When I notified the front desk again, the receptionist confirmed that they do have an ongoing issue with ants. Well, that doesn't fix my experience—which was ruined when I found many ant bites on my body. Besides the highway noise is vivd and disturbing. For the price I paid, I had a very unpleasant stay!

This was my first visit to The Inn at the cove, I can say that it was a very enjoyable time. All interactions with the staff was excellent absolutely no complaints. The location was beautiful right on the cliffs, provided outstanding sunset viewing. If I were to have anything to criticize it would be the showers, extremely low water pressure. But being California I assume they all have water saving shower heads to limit water flow. I can honestly say that I would definitely stay here again.

The breakfast offered was much better than other complimentary breakfasts. My husband LOVED the biscuits & gravy, the breakfast potatoes had onions & peppers and were very good, and I loved the four little waffles. Only thing I would suggest is to have some juices and regular milk to have to drink with your breakfast. Not being a coffee drinker I was happy their drink vending machine was right outside the dining room. The jacuzzi was nice and hot and the pool was also heated. We really enjoyed ourselves and definitely will be back.

One of the most beautiful settings for a hotel. Above the bluffs with caves and beaches below. Trails above the bluffs and stairs down to the beach. It seems to be a bird sanctuary with all types of amazing birds just feet from you on the cliff and rocks in water. If we weren't staying here we would make a day trip to visit here. Thursdays they have a truly wonderful singer in the evening/late afternoon and a local winery provides wine tasting. They include an amazing breakfast with small omelets and waffles and cereal and fruit, etc. They have a nice pool and hot tub. The rooms are spacious and most have spectacular views. The staff, especially Martin at the front desk, were extremely friendly and helpful. If you are in Pismo beach area do not pass up the opportunity to stay at this wonderful Inn!

The location is fabulous. Our room was ocean-front on the 1st floor with a lovely porch to enjoy the sunset. It was clean and crisp, equipped with refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. The pool area was also ocean-front front with loungers, umbrellas and towels. Electric bikes were available, though we did not have time to use. There were lots of paths to explore. The location of the refrigerator to the bed may have caused a noise that was apparent during the quiet of night. Mother Nature has made the beach less inviting. Breakfast was basic. Saturday night is quite pricy. None of these would stop our return.

Spend the extra $$ to get a room on 2nd floor with Pool & bay view! Beautiful! Also, close to Alex Madonna's Steakhouse! We will return!

Expensive but worth it. The rooms are nice and clean location is far from dining but the view makes up for it.

Room was spacious, clean, and just right after a long day of driving. Beautiful view of the ocean with lots of birds to watch. Hot continental breakfast. Staff was very friendly.

Overall I like the place Ive been coming there for many years The room I was given had ants all over the bathroom and around the bathtub (and I have video proof). When I notified the front desk and the Manager, Sylvia, their only solution was to offer to send someone to spray the room while I was in it. I was completely disgusted, irritated, and honestly felt like my skin was crawling.Naturally, I declined the spray. They then moved me to another room, but it was a downgrade. I had originally paid extra for a larger, second-floor, ocean-front room. The new room was smaller and on a lower floor. To make matters worse, they didn't even offer to credit me the price difference for the smaller room.The customer service here is terrible. The front desk staff (Syndi) had a major attitude, and the manager simply did not care.

We had good time at the hotel. Everything was great except the early check-in. I have stayed at this hotel several times, and they always let me check in when I arrived before the official check in time. This time, they tried charge $48. But fortunately it was resolved with no charge. I wonder if charging an early check-in fee is really necessary?

Five Stars across the board, especially the friendly, helpful, professional staff. Beautiful views from every room, well maintained grounds, and a nightly Wine Pour to bring on the Pacific Sunset. Easy walks along the trail to town resources both to the north and the south. High praise and high recommendations for the Inn at the Cove.

I love staying at Inn at the Cove!! I will not stay at any other hotel at Pismo/Shell Beach! It has the best ocean views from the spacious hotel rooms!! On the property there are so many areas to sit and relax and take in the ocean and rocky cliffs and private beach. Amazing!!
