    I was very disappointed because we didn't get to stay. First of all I called to see if we could check in early and I was told no because the room was still being cleaned, okay no problem. When I get there expecting to pay the price that I got on Booking.com, I was told by Roxcee that there was a $200 deposit . She went on to tell me that it didn't matter who it was that everyone had to pay this deposit. I was upset because we didn't have the 200 to pay. She went on to say the reason why was because people were destroying the rooms. Then if those same people come back again to stay, charge them thec$200. We stayed there last year for about 3 weeks with our 2 furbabies. We left the room clean when we left. I cleaned the room everyday myself. So why should we have to pay the deposit. And on top of that Roxcee the assistant manager was so rude. She was rude when we stayed there before. She never smiled or apologized for the inconvenience. Well come to find out that she has been charging certain people the $200 dollars. I know this girl didn't really care for me from before,and I dont know why cause I was always nice to her. I feel like I was targeted from the get go. So needless to say we had to find another motel after a long day of packing and moving. So yes I was very angry when I left the Microtel. I hope that the issue gets resolved and that the assistant manager gets reprimanded. Sorry I wrote my answer in the wrong box

    Unfortunately, the hotel itself is terrible. Our first room had an odor, the bathroom had rust and mold. The AC barely worked. It couldn't keep up with the Texas humidity. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable. I'm not expecting much from a hotel but you could feel the springs through the bedding. The iron had some residue on it and left a stain on my shirt. Luckily I iron on the inside so you couldn't see it outside. We had a 3-night stay so after the first night, I asked if we could switch rooms. After a little back and forth, they showed me 2 other rooms. The first one was very well air conditioned, felt clean, but the tv was broken. You could hear everything but the screen itself did not work. The second room was not cooled down yet but we tested it for 15 minutes and it was fine. Settled on that one because at least the tv worked. So I thought. The remote stopped working after awhile and I couldn't use the manual button because it was also broken from others trying to use it. So it was either leaving it on all the time or turning it off and not being able to turn it back on. Also the shower in that one was cracked. It had some of that "As Seen On TV" tape. Also, the toilet was soooooo loud when you flushed and it would run like 5 mins to barely fill up halfway. Only warm item for breakfast was waffles.

    Room was not ready though we arrive an hour past our check in so we were put into a room with 2 queen beds instead of the king we requested. So we slept separately what little we slept. Room was too close to the breakfast area and waffle timers woke us around 6:30 am. However when we arrived for breakfast at 7:30 am they were out of milk and waffle batter. They never did refill the milk and the waffle batter was finally refilled after being told it takes a long time to mix it up. Furniture was “garage sale” condition and dusty in our room. Under the nightstand an electrical fire occurred and no repairs were made. Toilet paper holder needs to be replaced. Fridge needs defrosting. A/C unit barely blew air much less cooled the room! In our 2 day stay we witnessed several folks check out early or request an upgrade. We assumed that we were not the only dissatisfied customers. We were charged a tad over $100 a night through Bookings yet the sign on the front of the motel advertised $55 a night. Hmmm…had I been charged the $55 a night I maybe wouldn’t have been as outraged over the condition of every thing. Shower head and shower curtain needed to be replaced. Reported this to front desk. Was told it would be done by that evening. It wasn’t. As a result the bathroom flooded with each shower. Had to use all towels to mop the mess. Asked for fresh towels. Was told they’d be in the room that evening. They weren’t. Had to catch up with housekeeper to get fresh towels. Just lousy lousy sub par service and accommodations. Would have been better off at Motel 6 - At least there the expectation bar is lower so not so disappointing!

    The smell of the place was bad the whole place smelled like Curry or something, the elevator did not work, the side doors did not work, the TV in the room did not work. I would not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel ever.

    Location was good, cheap rate, was VERY happy we were just there for a only few hours, fridge in room Rooms are extremely small, sheets were not clean, microwave hadn’t been wiped, wouldn’t stay again, went to breakfast and only coffee and muffins. Staff was on FaceTime when we checked in-hardly acknowledged

    Bad experience. Everything was broken. 1st was given the wrong room. Then was changed to a room on 2nd floor. Elevator worked when arrived, then broke down. AC in room didn't work. Fridge was froze up, didn't work. Ice maker on 2nd floor didn't work. Outside exit/entrance doors were broken: did not lock, so anyone had access. Rooms not too clean. Even the toilet paper holders were broken - paper roll was stuck on the bar - no roller bar - so fell to the floor a lot. Took a long time to get hot water in shower. Breakfast was skimpy. Last day there they didn't even have the hot plates filled. Staff was nice and helpful.
