The Economy Inn is one of several 1950s-era motels along Interstate Avenue that are still in business. Like most of them, it has had renovations in relatively recent history, and is reasonably clean and comfortable. It is right on the light rail line, so its easy to get places without a car. The parking lot is just big enough to accommodate all patrons, as long as they aren't driving a large motor home or other outsize vehicle. There are quite a few restaurants, pubs, coffee shops, etc., within easy walking distance (the vibrant Mississippi Street neighborhood is a 15-minute walk away, via the Failing Bridge pedestrian/bike crossing over I-5). Our room had a very comfortable king bed. The bathroom only had a shower, which wasn't an issue for us, but might be for some people. There was no hair dryer, which would have been a welcome addition. It was pretty quiet, even on a Friday night.

It was what we expected for the price we paid. Our room 214 toilet was very cramped difficult to use.

Room was clean and comfortable. It took 15 minutes for clerk to get to the window. First room assigned was not ready.

The price is good and it is convenient to the Rose garden and the famous bookstore. But the parking was tight and the room was not very clean. It was not very easy for me to locate.

No latch on the door, it didn't feel totally secure.

The room was spacious and included a mini fridge, freezer, microwave, TV, and desk. The interior was scuffed and beat up but very clean. The motel looks seedy from the street but was actually quiet and felt fine. No latch on the door, it didn't feel totally secure.

my room is supposed non smoking but previous guest smoked there. I requested to change room but he simply refused and no explanation. the service is terrible, I will never stay there again

Room smelled like cigarette butts. New paint was obvious but the cigarette smell still permeates the carpet and curtains.

Clean room. Missing a coffee service but otherwise no problems.

I booked his place because reviews said it was clean. To be fair I think it was clean but the room smelled so bad like a wet dog. It didn’t feel clean. All of the furniture was beat up pretty bad. For the price it was an ok place and the front desk guy was great

Not the best but also not the worst. It was clean mostly but the tv and remote were not working too well. I was just tired just needed a place to crash with a shower for a decent price and it worked.
