This place was terrible and nasty

The checking in process in the lobby was automated and I thought that was pretty cool though

Not recommend to anyone , very poor state of the hotel and the room.

I didn't stay. The first room I was given was not cleaned. The second room. I was given tv didn't work, there was no room key, the room was dirty, had no towels, matienace took 5 hours to come.

The worst part was the bedsheets. They had huge stains, including what appeared to be blood, and some of the stains were still wet. When I complained, the front desk initially refused to do anything because it had been two hours since check-in, which makes no sense since I had only just discovered the condition of the sheets. They eventually changed one set, but even the replacement sheets still had stains. I booked a room with two beds but ended up only feeling comfortable using one. Very disappointing experience. The property is also misleadingly listed as Econo Lodge, while the actual property is called Economy Lodge. I would absolutely not recommend staying here.

there is no actual person/ employee there on site. Instead there is a kiosk with a person on a screen to check you in virtually. When I entered the room, it was clear someone had just smoked Marijuana in there. Bed not made, the sheets and spread were balled up on top of the bed. Cheetos and trash, dirt and hair all over the floor. The room looks NOTHING like what's posted here on this website. No way I could stay there in that raggedy room/ sketchy folk posted up all over the property. They did not give refund. I'm still fighting for refund a week later. Sent video of what I saw and recorded to hotels.com. Called Economy Lodge to speak to manager this week, lady who answered phone is barely audible, rude and hung up on me. Note: this place is NOT BBB accredited and is independently owned. Manager has been MIA all week DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT STAY HERE!!

Nothing worked in the room the tv didn’t work the microwave didn’t work the refrigerator didn’t work and I reported it they didn’t fix it. It was roaches as well & the room was stinky.

The place was awful. It looks like a run down building with shady people lurking around. It is nothing like the picture

I liked the closeness to Portsmouth Pavillion. I liked the convenience. The air conditioner was not working well.

When we got in our room, AC not working right then started to blow cold air then stopped.completely, told guy it wasnt working again, said give me 5 minutes, never saw him, went back down 30 minutes later, he said maintenence was at.vorginia beqch and is coming, hour later went back down, and told maintenance not coming until morning and no rooms to move us, was really hot outside and in our room, daughter got sick from it... next mor.nng went down and was told maintenence not coming at all, and would move room as soon as room cleaned, over 6 hours later, we were given another room that when we got in, there was no electricity, front desk said probably blew a fuse, a little later the electricity was on. Advertises for laundry services but was broken.. overall the worst place I ahve ever stayed and we travel alot... will never go back.

It was a dirty roach infested disgusting place we ended up sleeping un our car

The room smelled like roach spray. The tub had hair all over it. I understand the price was low but so was the effort of the upkeep. Sanitation is a must these days.

The room was decent, had children in the above room running and jumping and screaming most of the night .
