Knights Inn Racine

I am writing to formally request a full refund for my recent stay at Knights Inn Racine due to the unacceptable conditions and poor customer service I experienced. I reserved a four-night stay, but upon checking in, the first room I was assigned had clearly never been cleaned. It looked as though the previous guest had just stepped out. The bed sheets were dirty and unchanged, there was garbage throughout the room, food and melted Skittles were on the floor, and I even saw cockroaches. This was completely unacceptable. When I immediately reported the issue, the front desk employee initially offered me a refund because there were no other available rooms. Instead of having the room cleaned or sending housekeeping, I was handed a mop, broom, and clean sheets and was told to clean the room myself. As a paying customer, I should never be expected to clean a hotel room that I paid to stay in. I decided to give the hotel another chance and accepted a different room. While it appeared somewhat cleaner with fresh sheets, it still lacked basic amenities that I was told would be provided, including a refrigerator and microwave. There were also no garbage cans, soap, or shampoo. Because there was no refrigerator, I had to repeatedly go to the lobby for bags of ice and keep my food and drinks in the sink just to keep them cold. This place is horrible. The mattress pads had stains on them. The refrigerator was leaking water on the floor. The refrigerator smelled. We left immediately for another hotel. We asked the manager at the desk for a refund and he referred me to an email address to complain and ask for refund. I sent an email to complain and ask for a refund and I never received a response.

Terrible experience. I would never go there or recommend to anyone. Uncleaned bathroom and sink. Sink got clogged and no one came for an hour.

At first the staff was great but after a little bit the young guy in the office turned very nosey, was literally sneaking around taking photos of guests and very rude! Not to mention just walking in my room at all times of the day and night because”he thought I had checked out” wouldn’t recommend staying here!

The hotel staff revoked my reservation even though it had been paid for since December 11th of 2025. They gave me no reason for a canceling my reservation, they simply sent me away. I had Lorraine from Expedia call them and ask why they canceled my room and they told Lorraine that all Nortons have been banned from their property. I ended up having to scramble to get a room at another hotel. When I called Knight's Inn back, the gentleman told me that my reservation had been canceled because my room was given to somebody else. I asked him his name and he refused to tell me. I asked him the manager's name and he refused to tell me that too. Just from the outside of the rooms, I could tell that this place was a dump. Maybe the Angels were the ones that stepped in and got me to go somewhere else cuz that place just from the outside looks horrible. I can't even imagine what the insides of the room look like.

Place has extra free cockroaches, tub was nasty, toilet seat was so loose you fall off. Don't stay here!!

The room was super dirty. The bed sheets smells nasty. So u should do more cleaning

Rooms was nothing like the pictures shown. Room stunk of some cleaner or something. Walls were dinged up. Kitchenette had ZERO anything. Will sleep in my truck before staying here again.

Great price and very friendly staff. It was a good and comfortable stay. Will definitely be returning when in town.

Leaving Yes, as soon as we walked into our room we were greeted by a cockroach ? then we left to get food came back and sat down to eat and that's when I noticed something crawling on the bed, low and behold it was a baby bed bug, we took pictures

This is not even a 1 star hotel .I booked this hotel because it was close to our school .When we arrived it was filthy. The room was in very poor shape ,sink was falling apart, the heater didnt work ,bed was hard so many things .My employee tried to get another room but nothing was available so the hotel said .He stayed the night sleeping in his clothes to stay warm and not to touch the nasty bed spread. The next morning he told the front desk about the problems and asked again to move they said everything will be fixed ,nothing was done .After arriving back from a long day at school a cold dirty room was not what he deserved. We moved him to a different hotel .I then called the manager and let them know we would be leaving due to the conditions ,,,,at this point they found another room ,after asking for our money back for the night .i was told we cant give you anything back but maybe the other room was better .I would think long and hard before you book this hotel .This is 1 of the worst hotels i have ever sent anyone to stay at.I didnt know because exspedia had them at a 5.8 star .google has them at 3...Do yourself a favor look at of there reviews online .

My room wasn't cleaned. They refused to give me another room at a discounted rate.Said they were no rooms avaliable. I called BBB on them because they refused to give me my money back.
