Red Roof Inn Raleigh North-Crabtree Mall/Lenovo Center

The location was great. The staff was good. The parking spaces were too narrow. There is only one handicap spot which I needed and was taken. There was mold on the outside of the bathtub. The charging outlets were loose, and our plugs kept falling out. The window was all foggy permanently and we couldn’t see out of it. The countertop behind the faucet of the sink had soap scum and dirt. The edges of the floor was dirty, and our dog kept licking at it. There was hair accessories, beads, and candy wrappers under the bed. There was a shattered glass window in a door leading into the hotel at the end of our hallway. The cart that the luggage goes on kept sticking and was not able to be steered in the right direction, and was very difficult for me because I have a bad back and an injured shoulder. The sheets seemed damp when we got into the bed. The volume on the TV was not working. There was no cover for the batteries on the back of the remote. Things seemed sticky and not clean. I was extremely disappointed.

Let me start off: this was a good area near the mall and food spots once no traffic. The staff were friendly. Now i "requested " a handicap room or accessible room and didnt get that. It was hard for my mom to maneuver around and couldn't shower. Rep put us on the main floor and apologized all rooms were rented out. We had a good price. As i started looking for other hotels we couldn't compare against. Decided to stick it out. The bathroom could be cleaner (had hair on top of shower), room needed air freshener or need to be aired out. It had a different smell to it. The hotel seem to be remodel in certain areas. It wasn't a bad or good place it did what it needed.

No breakfast, but many other low cost hotels we have stayed at had such a minimal breakfast that we would have preferred to have nothing available; that way we would have gone somewhere to eat

Perfect stay for a short couples getaway weekend as we travel through the area wasn’t there long, but it was safe and clean

Clean rooms, friendly staff and great location

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room seemed cleaned, however we notice baby roaches when we checked in and my second day there I found an adult roach in the bathroom. The hotel is old and it seems that it has never been remodeled. The bed linens were worn out, very thin, and seem to have some kind of stain. The pillows were so thin, like sleeping without a pillow. I would have stayed the 3 nights if it wasn’t for the adult roach I found in the bathroom my second day there. The staff was very understanding and agreed to refund me the last night. As for the area, I felt safe, no worries about safety. This hotel needs a remodel, pest extermination, and upgrade bed linens, pillows and towels.
