I’ve stayed at the Extended Stay in Upper Saddle River/Ramsey several times, and it has consistently been a great experience. The hotel is peaceful, quiet, clean, and very well maintained, making it an excellent place for both business and extended stays. What truly sets this location apart is the outstanding staff. Tahmid, the manager, is professional, approachable, and genuinely cares about every guest’s experience. Joshua and Araceli are equally exceptional, always friendly, welcoming, and willing to go the extra mile to help with anything you need. It’s not often you find a hotel where the staff makes you feel so comfortable and valued. Their commitment to excellent customer service is the reason I’ll continue coming back. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing, comfortable, and well-managed place to stay.

The room was clean and well prepared. There is a breakfast in the morning for you to take in. The check in and staff welcome goes smoothly. The General Manager and Mrs Araceli work well to help you with other services. Would really recommend staying here.

Staff are very nice and helpful. You have to pay extra if you want your room cleaned. No breakfast just muffins and nutri grain bars with coffee.

I was extremely hesitant about staying at ESA because I wasn’t sure what to expect. As soon as as I checked in, I felt at ease. I was greeted by Araceli. She is a top notch front desk staff member. She greets you with a huge smile. She will ask you about your day. She’s extremely accommodating with any concerns or issues. The room itself is straight to the point and is perfect for meeting all your basic necessities. The cleaning person is also very good. She really makes the rooms sparkling clean. So do not hesitate reserving at this incredible neighborhood in New Jersey. You will not regret it. THANK YOU ARACELI!!!! You are the best.

Amazing staff and location. Super clean

I don't eat breakfast, so I was fine with their oatmeal packets, which you pour into hot water. I was on the first floor by the parking lot, which made me feel like I should keep my blinds closed most of the time. Not a big deal just something to make note of.

Pricing Room I reserved (queen non-smoking) was not available. I was given a substitute but it had a leaky bathroom sink drain.

Additionally, when I requested fresh towels, I was informed by staff that none were currently available.

There was a kitchen but no plates, utensils, ice bucket, nothing. Staff was great. Some clientele seems to be dealing or at least using. Would not stay again.

The room was filled with an unpleasant odor, which made our entire stay uncomfortable. The bathroom was also difficult to use because of the strong smell of cigarette smoke.

Felt like long term residence for people. Our bolt did not work. Felt run down.

I enjoyed my stay and the functions of the hotel. Found the surroundings to offer quite a few things to do and get things done. Really would recommend staying here
