Best Western Ramkota Hotel

The staff was amazing, very friendly, helpful and professional. The only issues we had were we scheduled an airport pickup, and drop off that staff was unaware of. We had to wait at the airport for an hour to be picked up. The staff was courteous when they arrived. And, the room had cob webs in it, like it hasn't been used in a while.

Great western theme of Bison, cowboy pictures, log structures, etc.

Good value. Rooms are in good condition, older property, little tired. If you use an exercise facility, this is not the lace for you. Exercise room is old, minimal equipment and some equipment is not functional.

Once we checked in we arrived at our room to see they downgraded us from a king to a double queen without notifying us. After talking with two other staff at the front desk they agreed to put us in a kind suite since they were out of rooms. The hotel has around 5-6 different building so your amenities are pretty decent walk to locate. Room and hotel was not the first dirtiest we have seen, but also not very clean either. This hotel also holds a lot of events which makes the parking lot very full and inconvenient. Probably won’t stay here again.

Obviously the waterside is the star of the show here. Otherwise clean and comfortable hotel. The size of the complex was surprising. Interesting how the buildings connected. Small but functional workout room. Huge pool. Pool and cotton are in a separate room from the pirate ship and waterside kid area. Very nice outdoor area for sitting or taking your pets out. Surprised and disappointed there was no breakfast being a Best Western. Wish there was full size shampoo etc in bath. Because it is such a huge place we were far from the front desk and 1 tiny bottle in the room wasn't enough for a family of 3 when 1 person has really long hair. Walk out patios were nice, too.

Kids loved the water park and I loved all the open parking as I was pulling a trailer.

Good location. The sheets had stains on them. The different buildings were a bit confusing. The parking was crazy until all the conference rooms finished their business. Disappointed, there was no breakfast.

Note this is a convention center. Expect long lines at check in, rude and absolutely indifferent counter monkeys, and an unimpressive restaurant. Yes, you have fill out a legal release for…(wait for it!), the hot tub. Help seemed pissed off constantly. Maybe consider somewhere else. Fred Floon, I was here on 23 sep 26.

My room was not ready upon arrival, I finally received a room but not what I booked. This is a convention hotel not good for a solo traveler.

Coffee offered was bitter.

Easy off and on access to I-90 interstate and in the middle of shopping spots

Overall, would NOT recommend, there are way better options nearby and for a fraction of that price.

Booked through Expedia. While traveling, debit card got deactivated, due to fraudulent charges. WF uploaded a new one to Apple wallet & mailed a new one. Best Western wouldn't allow me to check in with digital card. Had to find a different hotel that would accept digital pay. Best Western denied my insurance claim on the reservation through Expedia. One night in Rapid City SD should have cost me $105. Instead it cost me $280. I will actively campaign against Best Western because of this.
