Super 8 by Wyndham Rapid City

Lots of carbs for breakfast: waffles, muffins , cereals, toast. If you want hard boiled eggs, get up early because once they’re gone, that’s it. The iced coffee was barely cold, the hot coffee is Folgers. The chair, table and desk in my room were all sticky. The towels are a cotton-poly blend. The hairdryer was broken. The curtains were coming out of the clips and the carpet was in desperate need of a deep cleaning. They do provide a mini-fridge and microwave in the rooms.

There is not really anything wrong with this particular hotel, it just needs updating. For example, all the carpets throughout the hallways need to be severely cleaned or replaced. The electrical was odd. There was only 1 usable outlet by the beds, the other outlet was so old that when you plugged things into it they would fall out. The staff was excellent and very helpful with issues. The ice machine on the second floor didn’t work either, that was just inconvenient, there is a machine in the lobby.

The room was nice but the toilet was loose wobbly but other than that it was a good experience

Entry doors broken or locked. TV broken. Housekeeping only changes linens and towels every three days. Prostitutes roaming around. Real disappointed.

It was awesome because it was close to everything

This was the dirtiest place I ever stayed in. The staff was horrible. I was there a week and asked to have our room cleaned on the 3 day and 4 and 5 day no one ever came. This left us sleeping in dirty bedding and the carpet was filthy. With temperatures near 100 you can imagine how sweaty we we riding motorcycles all day. Never will stay again there.

Everything

Good shower and beds. Pleasant staff. Sink had poor water pressure. One chair for two people. Few surfaces on which to put belongings.

The info on Expedia is a fraud. There is no Super 8 at the address listed on Expedia.

All the outlets in my room were either broken or electrical hazards. They sparked when you plugged anything in. The lamp above the bed was a plug in lamp bolted to the wall. Which wasn’t bad. It was the wire. It was cut and the wires twisted together with painters tape. The bathroom fan didn’t do anything. The shower was luke warm on the highest setting. The beds were very uncomfortable. The floor was sticky in 1/3 of the room And Random spots.

The smoke deck was right next to the pool with only a wooden partition/fense separating the two.

Front desk staff was very professional, friendly, efficient, and seemed to be very much responsible for keeping the property organized and well-kept. The room was clean, tidy, and very comfortable for sleeping, showering, and getting ready for travel. The parking was well lit and I felt my vehicle and its contents were safe overnight. N/A

Most outlets in room were nonfunctioning, Had to unplug TV and Microwave to charge our electronics. The USB on TV did not work for that. They added a multioutlet behind end table but it was actually behind bed so could only use 2 of the 6 outlets. Had to unplug lamp to run my bipap machine, Wind was blowing and it was howling through the window and rattling the bent window screen, The price was great for 1 night and staff was amazing,

Comfy beds and pillows - bedding smelled clean

Pool was closed on a very hot day.

The rooms and hallway smelled of stale cigarette smoke. It seemed like a very old hotel that is in need of remodeling.

Not happy with anything- looked clean, but felt dirty The feeling of uncleaniless

It was close to some decent restaurants The TV was to small, you could hear people that were in their rooms when walking down the hallway and the breakfast area wasn’t big enough for the guest they had and no stopper in the bath/shower.
