GrandStay Residential Suites - Rapid City

Our room was just what we needed: clean and quiet, with a basic kitchen. Check-in was easy. Hotel location is good - right off I-90 but remarkably quiet. Breakfast was OK/par for the course: scrambled eggs & sausage alternated daily with biscuits and gravy, with waffles, cereal, and toast offered daily. The tables in the breakfast area were reliably sticky and the trash can was completely coated with food debris. At our check-in on a Monday evening, I noticed that the common area rug and the carpet up the stairs was noticeably dirty with lots of leaf debris, bits of paper, and perhaps toast crumbs? We saw similar debris along the hallway to our room. I didn't think much of it, assuming that all would be vacuumed the next day. However, all that stuff was STILL there on Friday morning when we checked out. I saw a staff person dusting the stairs and another staffer mopping the non-carpeted common areas - but no one a) noticed the dirt or b) did anything about it.

All service was goid and staff as well!

Great facilities and helpful staff

Room floors seemed grimmy. Fire alarm kept intermittent beeping last night there. They had to keep resetting until it finally stopped. No toilet paper in bath when first arrived.Had to go to front desk, they did not provide had to wait for hour until housekeeping finally brought some. Not worth price paid for suite.

Property needs updating. Housekeeping services were okay. You had to call the front desk for housekeeping and for towels, which you had to go pick up from the front desk. Never had that experience before. The property is in a great location. However, I would not stay at this hotel again.

One of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at. We had a living room, kitchen, bathroom and a separate bedroom. Very clean and looked brand new.

On the good side, the staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast wasn't great at all, but hot breakfast is hot breakfast so I'll take it. Due to the gross nature of the room though, I wouldn't stay here again and I do not recommend people stay here. It's borderline unsanitary.

The hotel is a great location for travelers, right off the interstate and close to several restaurants. The one bedroom we had was spacious and comfortable. Nothing fancy, but we had what we needed.

Bathroom was sold and not well kept. Bath towels were horrible. Beds were sinking in the middle. Couch was horrible. Positive was the TV's were great, A/C worked great, large fridge.

Nice place to stay with lots of shopping and food options near by. Very easy access to the freeway.

Robert at the front desk was very accommodating. Clean. Breakfast was fair. Lots of maintenance doors were open in the hallways. Which would be an easy aesthetic thing to fix.

The hotel is very dated and needs some repairs. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was the typical free hotel breakfast.

The person checking us in could have been more personable.

Grandstay Hotel was easy to get to and nicely located. The staff was helpful. Our room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The couch and chair were not very comfortable. It was nice to have a kitchenette and it was adequately stocked. The breakfast was great! Hot and cold items everyday. We did not like the coffee. We used the hot tub, it was working and the temp was hot enough. The fitness room was closed down so we weren't able to use it. We would choose this location again.

Good location, good facilities, good breakfast House keeping. Left towels & trash outside door as we were told to do and it was not collected for 3 days. Filled out a green docket for clean towels & toilet rolls etc...left with reception & nothing was delivered so I had to go to reception to get them myself.

We had a great stay here as our base of operations for exploring the Black Hills area. The suite was very comfortable. The staff was very nice, and the coffee was great. Our only complaints would be the bed was a bit soft, and it would be nice to have a smart TV so we could watch our streaming services.

Overall it was just average

Great hotel, clean, comfortable and homey. I'll definitely stay here again!!
