We really liked the hotel. We had no problem finding a close in parking spot. They have room for lots of cars. We used the self check-in inside. The machine did not show where to put the drivers license so it was not working. I pushed my license into the machine and could not get it back. I went to find someone to help while my wife watched the machine. I found a staff person but by the time I got back a kind gentlemen had used his knife to get my license and helped my wife start the process. I finished it and we had our room. While we left some money in the slot machines, we had a good time. The cafe and the buffet were great. Checkout was easy and the highway we needed was just outside the parking area. We were on the 17th floor. It was quiet, clean, comfortable etc.

I stayed from a Sunday night through Tuesday just recently and housekeeping never came to clean or turn down my room on any day. I found a dirty sock left behind and the room had no pen and paper, no washcloths, and not enough body wash. I had to request extras for towels, coffee, water, and body wash. Even when I called to ask for those items, they still didn’t turn down my room that day. Also, when they delivered the items, they told me not to take down the do not disturb sign but I didn’t even have one at my door. I was a little disappointed because I normally stay at the Peppermill and was hoping for a better experience at the Grand Sierra Resort.

My family of 7 had the best time! We stayed 3 nights and still didnt get to do all the activities. Bowling and Sensology were so fun! My boys loved the pool and hubby and I loved the bar/restaurant at the pool. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean. The staff was friendly and we were able to text for services such as getting more towels and bell hop service. Highly recommend GSR.

I like the casino and amenities. However, the customer service was terrible, the room we were provided were filthy, there was a bunch of nasty marks on the carpet, the shower was not working on the first day we got here, we called for help and they finally showed up after two hours, we ask for toilet paper, again they showed up after two hours, Peppermill is way so much better than this hotel. The staff here needs customer service training big time, they act like they own this hotel and have no respect for the customer. Very poor rating when is comes to customer service.

Casino gaming sucked. No $5 blackjack tables. Slots were very tight. Didn't see any winners at all.
