Great room, great price, great location. I only stayed one night but would love to come back. The parking is off-site and I had to pay for a parking pass but it was inexpensive. The room was clean and quiet, the view onto the street was great especially at night.

Nice hotel in a great downtown location. The systems were down the day I arrived, so check in took longer than it should have. The rooms are nice. The only not so nice experience was the staff. I’ve stayed at WP many times, and the staff have always been very friendly. Not this time. No acknowledgments or smiles. I came in late at night twice and there were two staff persons talking at the counter. They never looked in my direction. The valet guys seemed like they were mad at the world and did the bare minimum with scowls on their faces. That will be my last stay at WP.

Check-in was an absolute breeze with super friendly staff. The rooms are bigger than we anticipated, and the central location is nice. This place is VERY dog friendly with treats at the front desk and a small dog park outside of the main entrance. There is no room service, so we grabbed a delicious breakfast to-go from the restaurant attached to the lobby. The breakfast burrito and breakfast sandwich were great.

Very nice hotel right in the heart of downtown Reno. Conveniently located and very clean. The rooms were big and plenty of room to move around. The beds were very comfortable with nice blackout curtains for the morning light. Staff was very helpful for small items needed such as band aids and spoons. I highly recommend this hotel for a nice getaway from home that won’t have you missing your own bed very much.

If I had to pick a hotel I would not stay at this one again

Great stay! Restaurant was great.

I loved the fact that the entire Hotel was Non Smoking. Clean and fresh air throughout. My room was spacious and clean.Very nice. I like the convenient restaurant downstairs. Good food.I will be staying here in the future for my Bowling Tournaments.

My only complaint about the property is the fact that the Main Street is next to the hotel and Saturday night it gets loud.

Overall pleasant downtown experience

We had a great stay at this hotel. It is in a great location in Reno. Just down the road from the river walk and also several casinos. Clean room and staff were very friendly! We ate breakfast in the restaurant attached and it was a great meal. The only real con to this stay was the elevators. They are extremely slow and one of the three were out of service. Stairs are not an option as the door states that the emergency siren will go off if you open the door.

Great dog friendly hotel!

Stayed with our dog. No problems at all. Would stay again

Been staying at the Whitney Peak Hotel for more than twenty years. It has gone downhill recently - probably related to the Hilton purchase. Some of the staff seem to be out-to-lunch. Asked for a restaurant recommendation and was directed to Denny's. Not OK. The Whitney Peak is still the only hotel in Reno I am aware of that does not have a casino and does not allow smoking. Still important to me. Room was clean. Bedframes appear to have been replaced with cheap junk. Headboards too. Very hard to find a good place to plug in adapters for charging electronics. Bathroom seemed to be the only option. Not convenient if you need your phone during the night or for alarms, etc. The Whitney Peak has become very popular with airline crews. Probably because there is no casino and no smoking. Probably also has something to do with the purchase by Hilton. The restaurant is OK, but there are much better places to eat in Reno.

I recommend it 100%

Filtered water dispensers on property on each floor make packing light and provide you with a clean source of water for your room or for any outings you have. Staff are always helpful when you need any assistance check out there little restaurant downstairs pricing is decent. Don’t forget to take the challenge and climb up that rock wall on the side of the hotel you won’t regret it
