Red Roof Inn Richmond, VA

I stayed here for one night during a road trip and let me just say that I woke up at 5am and found a roach in my bed and left as soon as I could with my 2 month old. I notified the person at the front desk and showed him the picture and all he did was look to make sure it said today’s date and he just said ok. I tried getting a refund back from Expedia and they were also no help. My next stop is the property manager. Absolutely disgusting !

Absolutely disgusting “hotel.” I’ll start with the very worst part: our room was atrocious and had not been cleaned. The beds were made but the sheets had stains (we wondered if they had even been changed), there was hair, crumbs, and crud all over the floor, hair all over the bathroom sink, the walls had brown streaks around the room. We did not dare walk barefoot and I even took a shower with slippers on so as not to touch the bottom of the tub. The room was super dated and dirty - it felt like a hotel straight out of a horror film. In addition to that, the staff at the lobby was not friendly or hospitable. Didn’t even say hello when I stepped up to the counter to check in. They refused to move us to a first floor room (even though we explained we had a baby, a stroller, and my husband has knee and back issues). There was no water machine on the premises. In the middle of the summer heat, the pool wasn’t even open (we probably wouldn’t have used it anyway, the hotel was so despicable!). We will NEVER again stay at a Red Roof Inn and absolutely do not recommend it to anyone else unless you want a good place to film a grainy thriller!

I stayed here a few times due to convenient location. Last time I stayed I woke up with a very itchy and bumpy back like I had been bitten by bed bugs. Also, I realized that I was being charged an extra 25$ fee for every day my things remained past 11 am even though the room was booked for 2 to 3 days, so I did not like that and there’s roaches very large down to small here and other bugs squeeze through the door cracks. I had to put my own sticky bug trap and caught a large roach.

Could use an upgrade considering the location and also the brand. The staff onsite were also a bit abrasive when I called to request an early check in. Not a pleasant conversation.

Staff was fine. I think they forgot to sweep the floors. Lots of dirt and hair on the floor. Gross. I chose this hotel because it was rated clean. The bed was clean thank God

Staff was very helpful. I had to extend the stay for my employees a couple times and they help me alot. Room was clean and spacious Bed was uncomfortable

Staff was disrespectful and not helpful… and took my money. I don’t recommend them to anyone at all

They didn't make the bed since we were staying two nights.

There was. Roaches in my room my moms room had bed bugs i stayed in room 125 my mpm stayed in 1120

Everything, dirty, door had no gasket so could see daylight, dirty microwave and frig, hard bed and was bitten so many times by some sort of insect I checked out in the middle of the night to find place not pest infested

We didn't have an issue w anything.. It was clean comfy and quiet.. can't wait to get bk there on Sat night till we need to leave for fredrickburge on Weds.we will be staying at this place every trip as long as they have a room available for us.. and being disabled and not able to really do the stairs they accommodated us.. wonderful people and place

Nothing this place was aweful!!! The ac barely worked ..management was aweful!!! Everything. This place is a rip off...they charge you extra from what's on the website. If you book online to extend your stay they make you check out at 11 and come back at 3 pm!!! Or pay them extra money to stay in the same room!!! Drug dealers / hookers everywhere. The staff is sooo rude and nasty to you!!! They treat people like scum!!! I stayed there with my son because it's close to where I needed to go ..but both people I ended up interacting with at the front desk were nasty and rude!!!! The rooms have cigarette burn holes in the comforters and the ice buckets. The lady came in to clean and literally put dirty towels up in the bathroom. Other people's hair in the sheets .. I'm guessing they didn't change them since last time. Disgusting!!!! AND A RIPOFF!!!!

The room was dirty. I had to wash the tub before use because there was hair everywhere.

I am very unhappy with the experience I had staying here, everything seemed perfectly normal until I noticed the soap dispenser was completely broken off the wall. Secondly, found a total of 3-4 small roaches on the floor, bed was completely fine. When I asked the staff about getting another room or refund, they told me no refunds and that there were no other rooms available, which I find very hard to believe considering the lack of cars on the premises... Definitely recommend spending a few extra bucks to get something nicer.
