WHITEHOUSE MOTEL

Bugs in room, Room smelled like smoke, air conditioner didn't get cold.

Very good hotel for the price. I arrived late and just needed a place to crash and it was a perfect place to do that!

First off I travel a lot and am very familiar with hotels and motels. I usually use corporate groups but figured I would stay in a local run place since it had a 6 out of 10 rating. I wasn't expecting much, a clean room and a tv. I reserved a king size bed. When i arrived I was told all they had was double beds. I was in a hurry and said fine. went in room had just enough time to change and head to work. I used the bathroom and when I came out noticed my socks were wet. toilet was leaking on the floor. left to work came back at around 10pm tv didn't work. Got dressed and went out to get my laptop, no wifi available so turned down bed to go to sleep. the sheets had holes in them about the size of cigarette burns but no charring. Turned down other bed same thing. pulled off sheet and sleep with out them. Got up the next morning and had bug bites on legs and arms thought maybe mosquitoes. Then I got in shower and there was no hot water so I had to take a cold shower. While in the shower I looked up towards the ceiling and there was a spot about the size of a phone book that looked like it had been leaking water form above and looked like black mold. After the cold shower I was sitting on bed I noticed what looked like a pizza box under the dresser. I looked closer and it was bug and mouse sticky traps. there were four or five of them. they were covered in bugs like they had been in there for weeks or months. You know if it would have been any one of these things, I would probably overlook it since things can happen sometimes but To have them all in one stay is ridiculous. Just a crappy place and booking.com should be ashamed of giving this 6stars or even listing it on their site. Looks like I wont be using either the white house motel or booking.com everything read above

I stayed here for a day. I booked king size but person is kind enough to upgrade it to 2 double bed and allowed late checkout too.

The staff was very nice. The air conditioning worked very well, as did the microwave and the refrigerator. The sheets seemed clean, and it was a fine place to sleep for the night. I got there after dark and left before sunrise, and I felt safe enough as a lone traveler.

i loved the location, it was quiet and comfortable! also every Thursday there's a group of people that go around door to door and offer free meals to everyone! that was a pleasant! The lack of amenities, like laundry, or ways to obtain extra toiletries in a pinch. their Wifi is also quite poor (my family are gamers so fast Wifi is important to us). our cellphone WiFi was faster and more stable. otherwise wonderful little place!
