The property was extremely rundown. The worst part wasn’t the dinginess, but how unsafe I felt there. My room,” round back” was not in what you would consider a normal motel arrangement. To get to it, you had to go back onto the main road, then turn down side alleys to get to a set of five rooms, tacked onto the back of a building. Totally isolated with a shanty appearance.. I ended up turning in my key and leaving five minutes after checking in, saying I wasn’t comfortable and didn’t feel safe. The manager was briefly apologetic but made no effort to make amends. Certainly no refund. I have no clue how this place got an 8.4 excellent rating. But I will no longer trust ratings automatically without doing more research on multiple sites.

There was a very good complementary breakfast with hot food (eggs, potatoes, sausage), a waffle maker and much more. Larry

Breakfast was ok. The carpet was old and squares glued together. Bath was nice and clean. Exterior of building was littered and had cigarette butts and cobwebs everywhere.

The breakfast was superb. The bed was very comfortable! Rifle falls state park is worth seeing.

Not what I expected. It is a 1950's motel. Room doors open directly to the parking lot. Room keys are actual brass keys.

Very nice hotel in the cute town of Rifle CO, seemed to be family operated and everyone was very friendly. Breakfast was good and the room was clean. To be sure it's an older motel, but very pleasant and reasonably priced.

An older property, but clean and comfortable. Good access to local dining and shops. Top notch breakfast included, as good or better than any experienced at any hotel. Friendly and accommodating front desk staff.

surprisingly breakfast was great, we stayed at better hotels and breakfast there was way worse. This is simple but tasty, and service was nice I guess I did not expect it to be Motel, pictures and reviews were better than it looked, room are outdated, and smell was bad - too m much of cheap airfreshner..
