tv and tv remote did not work smoothly

I had a late check in.. The front desk Gentleman was excellent his name was Earl. He tried to really help me. Unfortunately the 1st room he gave me the key didn't work. I went back down he changed my room. THAT ROOM SMELLED LIKE MOLD! Also upon inspection the bed linen didn't look clean. I went back down and Earl again happily changed my room. I went in that room AND YOU COULD SMELL THE DAMPNESS AND MOLD and didn't look that clean either. I went back down and advised that I couldn't stay at this hotel because I have SEVERE allergies to mold and I'm not happy with the cleanliness of the room. I unfortunately paid for this room through a 3rd party so I'm trying to get a refund. I left and went across the street and stayed at a much cleaner hotel for less money. This was at 2:00 am after being on the road for 5.5hrs.

The electronic door locks not working properly for us and others staying there. The a/c wasn’t left on, room smelled musty & moldy; like from moisture buildup, going from being cool to warm. Had to switch rooms. Blinds were dirty. Sheets smelled.

AC wasn’t working well. TV was spotty at best. Breakfast was good! Needs updating!

Unfortunately, our stay was not as we had hoped. The hotel is outdated. The pillowcases had stains on them. The showerhead was not attached properly. The bathroom sink had a green buildup around the nozzle. Paint was chipping off the bottoms of walls and the doors were dirty also. The check-in process the person had very few words to say and was not friendly as would be expected. She didn’t tell us which way to go to find the elevators or have any type of conversation other than the check-in process. The room smelt busty like it had gotten wet and not dried properly, and the air conditioner did not produce cold air. Out of all of the hotel stays I would say this was not what I would expect out of a Holiday Inn express.

Location While our room seemed clean, the room smelled musty and of urine. Shower leaked all over bathroom floor. Pillows were heavy and hard.
