Centerstone Plaza Hotel Soldiers Field - Mayo Clinic Area

Could be better- room decor very dated, bathroom could be refreshed, gym was terrible (v v old), breakfast just ok, although coffee wasn’t great.

Property was clean and smelled fresh. Only complaint is that the a/c was on full blast when I got there and I never could get the heat going. The restaurant (Twigs) and ON CALL shuttle service make this hotel priced right and better than any comparable hotels in the same price range.

Although it is a good walk to mayo, the shuttle service is on the job and you should have no problems getting to Mayo or St. Mary's. The small pillows?

It was very convenient for my Mayo appointment. The shuttle worked out great and the drivers were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing and ready very early. Food was also excellent at Twigs. We ordered room service since we got there late and had an early appointment. Would definitely stay here again.

Decor was classy and newly renovated in the lobby. Restaurant was very good and outdoor seating area adorable. Rooms were a bit dated but clean. Had trouble with shower knob turning and had to call maintenance. Within walking distance to Mayo Clinic. I would stay there again.

They catered to my celiac needs which I was so grateful for. The rooms could use a little updating.

I booked a room in the “new” hotel and when I arrived there to check in I was told they didn’t have rooms with 2 beds. Even though that is what I booked through hotel.com. I needed 2 beds so they gave me a room in the rundown extended stay motel next door. It was very old with an outdoor entrance on the third floor. The amenities were old and there was a loud sound throughout the night that kept us awake. The beds were hard and the 2 beds were a queen bed and a Murphy bed. Needless to say I wasn’t happy.

Had an amazing stay while we were in Rochester for Mayo. The staff was very helpful. Had an excellent breakfast every morning and the attached restaurant Twigs is top notch. The rooms were clean and restocked every morning for our five day stay. The shuttle service is amazing. We don’t know what we would’ve done without it. The drivers were amazing. Very friendly and respectful. I will definitely stay he whenever we come back to Rochester. Thank you for a stress free stay during a difficult time for our family.

Very good

Great well organized older hotel. Not the fanciest, but fits our budget for repeat stays. Shuttle is the single most important feature. Love the driver who waves at the children creating joy on their face's. Management: wish the beds had more cushion with a pillow top. Will be back.

Quiet room. Good continental breakfast. The beds need replacement. Too many soft or spongy beds here. I found it hard to sleep on a soft bed.

Bad: The distance to Mayo Clinic was farther than expected. The hotel does have a shuttle but doesn't run on a regular schedule so the wait can be lengthly. I was told by the hotel staff that gave me a number to call and the shuttle would pick me up any where in the area. But when I called the number I was told the shuttle only stops and picks up at one location. Fortunately, the weather was good and it was about a 15 minute walk to where I needed to go at Mayo Clinic. Internet speed was the poorest I have had in over a decade. It made it difficult to make a secure connection to my work cloud. It wasn't much better than old dialup speeds.

The hotel is clean, comfortable, and offers easy parking. Mayo Clinic is within walking distance (half mile). The staff is helpful and friendly. Bonus: the pool and hot tub area is very relaxing!

Gluten free restaurant on site, very good, easy walk to appointments.

Breakfast was good, front staff friendly also the shuttle. Floors were really stained. Dust behind chair along baseboards. Couldent use the in room coffee maker. Couldn't open the top of it because of the cubby they had it in and you could not unplug it everything was behind the entertainment center with extension cords. Housekeeping staff needs to learn English. Big language barrier

We really appreciated the shuttle to and from the Mayo Clinic. It was convenient and fast! The complimentary breakfast had a great variety of goods.
