Hilton Garden Inn Rochester Downtown, MN

Building is in need of updates and repairs, and it’s significantly higher priced than surrounding hotels. Great location. Issue with reservation. Online reservation said breakfast included- hotel said reservation did not include breakfast.

Overall, just fine. Staff very nice and helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable. Location was great, especially to the Mayo Clinic. The only thing I would do differently is ask for a room on the back side of the building. The street noise was fairly noticeable. Didn't have the breakfast, but it looked very well stocked.

The checkin was smooth and our room was okay. The hotel is in a great location for the Mayo Clinic, but is showing some wear. We understood the room would be refreshed (make bed, replace towels, empty trash, and replenish amenities) every other day. Since we checked in Tuesday, we expected those services on Thursday. However after returning to the hotel we were chagrined to see nothing had been done to our room. After being told by the front desk that someone would be “sent up” we left for dinner. Upon our later return, we were frustrated by the fact a stack of clean towels was placed in the bath, but nothing else was done to the room.

We had booked a three-night stay. On the second night, I turned on the shower and the water came out brown. I let the hot water run for about 10 minutes, but it never cleared up. The sink water was brown as well. I tried calling the front desk several times, but the line was busy. I finally called from my cell phone and got through. They explained there was a broken pipe nearby and said the water was "probably" safe, but they wouldn't recommend drinking it. Unfortunately, I was in town for an appointment at Mayo Clinic while being treated for a serious infection. I couldn't risk showering or using brown water, so we decided to check out a day early. I explained the situation to the front desk, and although the broken pipe wasn't the hotel's fault, they completely understood and refunded our final night's stay. While the water issue was a major inconvenience, I really appreciated how the staff handled the situation. Their customer service was excellent, and they made a difficult situation much easier.

Very helpful staff, room was very clean(smelled great) and the whole facility is beautiful! Our second time staying and definitely will stay again.

We had a great stay and were very thankful for the free shuttle services to Mayo Clinic. The valet service was great with all the construction going on. We will definitely stay again.

Our check in host was not very personable this time. Stayed many times but needs updated.

Everyone who was working here was extremely friendly and helpful. Clean hotel located very close to the mayo building and many good restaurants.

We got a king bed on the 6th floor. When we first got there, they stated that the housekeeping was behind so they weren’t sure if our room was going to be ready. Yet we were guaranteed a room at 3pm. Luckily, we were able to get one. The room had clean sheets & a clean bathroom. The carpet had blood stains all over. The curtain and lamp shade had blood all over it. We did not bring it up to management as we were lucky to have a room in general & it looked like they tried to clean it, but couldn’t get it all the way out. Carpet will probably have to be taken out of room. The AC in the room worked super good which was very nice. The pool was small but nice. Hot tub was very nice as well. The lobby was very nice & clean. Great location to be close to the hospital and/or Thursday’s downtown. You had to park in a parking ramp or get a valet to have your car parked on location which we were not aware of before booking the hotel. Luckily, the ramp allowed us to be there overnight otherwise to be safe I would recommend doing the valet parking on site. You can hear all of the traffic from broadway all night long & the sirens from the police station which was not ideal at all. Overall, won’t stay there again, but it was decent for the price.

Room has quite a bit of wear for the price. Location good with skywalk access to Civic Center

Excellent staff, quick to serve, and kind. And we love the convenience of the skyway to Mayo! Best hotel for Mayo patients.

The staff was excellent. From the front desk clerk, to the shuttle bus drivers all were very helpful and very kind. If we ever have to come back to Rochester, we will definitely stay there again.

The Hotel is perfectly located, well maintained, well stocked and has helpful and friendly staff. I'll be back.
