Hotel Indigo Rochester – Mayo Clinic Area by IHG

I had a double queen room, very roomy, plenty of room on both sides of each bed. The refrigerator in the room is badly placed in a cabinet that does not open or close properly. It was a constant argument to close the refrigerator door, and I never could close the cabinet door correctly once I opened it. The bathroom is generously sized and was very clean. The container of liquid soap was inconveniently far from the sink and fixed in place, which meant you dripped all over the counter every time you needed to reach for it. While the room came across as clean, the decorative rug between the two beds had lots of light areas that showed stains, and in one spot what looked like perhaps gum that had been ground into it. The elevators had terrible carpeting, and the interior of the elevator doors was filthy; people had left their finger marks to show this. The front desk staff were all very kind, and very helpful. My one disappointment, and a good deal of it is my fault, is the loss of my Amazon Kindle during my stay. I had been reading with it the night before I left, so I know it was in the room. It did not, however, make it into my luggage, which means it stayed in the room. I called on the evening that I checked out, and the next morning. That afternoon I was called and told that it had not been found. I can’t believe this, because I had been reading on it that night and had not left the room. I’m responsible for the loss, but disappointed in the lack of honesty.

The rooms were not very clean, Sheets were stained, and bathroom had some deposits of "something" in the sink. The staff was courteous, though. She had to stay more than one week and she asked me to book her another hotel, which I did.

Best happy hour ever! Great prices, nice selection of food, and generous portions. Chef is very good, Darian does a fabulous job at the bar. Breakfast is also a good value and tasty food.

The lobby and check-in desks are on the 2nd floor which wasn't immediately clear to us when we arrived. The location is a 7-15 minute walk for many Mayo appointments. Parking was $16/day but very convenient if added during check-in. Based on my experience this is the same price you'd pay at any other garages downtown. Had a gym. No pool. There was a nice looking restaurant right off of the lobby where you could order meals and room service from.

Location 10/10 I came back with bed bugs!!! Still can't believe it.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast and dinner meals excellent. Had to leave a day early, and would have liked a credit or refund.

This is my first time staying at Hotel Indigo. The staff was amazing. I had to keep adding nights and they were so accommodating. The room was just right. It was clean , well stocked and easy access to the Mayo Clinic. I really liked the front desk people. Super friendly and helpful. Love the attached restaurant!
